I'm not gaining but but not losing either. I know I should exercise more but since the bypass I have been in and out of hospital 5 times. 2 times for dehydration 2 EDG for strictures and 1 gallbladder removal. And I think I am getting another stricture now as over the past couple days its getting painful when I eat and makes me feel so bloated like its just sitting there not moving

Calories are around 600-700 a day protein 70-80 grams a day. Exercise is limited to walking about 30 minutes a day as I had gallbladder surgery 3 weeks ago and still haven't healed from that all the way

I had a stall at 3 weeks and now at almost 3 months post op I haven't lost any in the past 16 days. It happens and it is disappointing to say the least when you know your eating and doing what your suppose to. Even the "why did I go through this " I am hoping everyone is right that it will come off eventually

Premier Protein (Costco)
kisersassy replied to punk.rock.mama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Worm its better just to buy a case. They really aren't bad. I mainly like the vanilla over the chocolate as its not as sweet -
Yes a stricture would cause that too. You definitely need to call and get checked out! Hope you feel better and keep us updated

Oh my what an ordeal. I sure hope everything is better now!! Did they say what could have caused it? When did you have your gastric bypass?
-
Yes mine did. I guess because one hospital coffee is nasty! And when I got home I was drinking water and Popsicles coffee was last on my list. By the time I craved some the taste had changed on me

I would live to hear and know what symptoms you had to know to go to or call the doctor!! I have read other sites of this happening and just know it is serious and glad you got it fixed in time

That doesn't sound like dumping but more like heartburn. I had dumping one time so far (knock on wood) and its the worst feeling ever. Nausea plus diarrhea plus feel like your out of control and dying you can't breath can't sit can't walk can't lay down. Believe me horrible feeling!!! -

I drink those and the vanilla. Wish they had strawberry though lol -
With the flu I would assume you would be running a fever. It could be just a stomach bug but that usually causes vomiting and diarrhea. Could be something your eating or drinking not agreeing with you. Or pregnancy!??

Ok so I have had a few minor complications but this evening I am feeling something totally weird. Started yesterday with pain not so bad tolerable well tonight it is worst. I took a loratab and still feel this pain. Don't know if it is a ulcer developing? Its like in the middle above belly button but right below my ribs. Know its not gallbladder as it was removed 2 weeks ago. And don't think its another stricture unless its just starting. What could it be? Its not like a tummy ache or gas pains or cramps

Question about post op diet
kisersassy replied to kat77's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Especially milk. It has protein in it and yes we are recommended 1% or skim milk. A lot of people make their protein shakes out of it. I would ask again about the milk because yogurt and cheese which 99% of us are recommended to eat is made from milk -
Me either I'm just laying here starting to get nausea so taking a zofran. I just wish I knew what it is. I have an appointment in Monday. Just like yesterday I started feeling weak and then this evening the pain is a little worst then last night I hate bothering the docs all the time and its a weird pain never felt before and can't describe it really its tolerable but bothersome,

You have to take it out. They nay be able to call you in liquid antibiotics. But try getting sugar free chocolate syrup and mix the powder with it. Should help

kisersassy replied to KevinsBabyGirl85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am at sime kind of stall. Not even 3 months out and am only losing 1 pound a week. Was 224 last Friday today 223. -
I will give those of you who doesn't have to do a bowel prep sine advice!! DO IT ANYWAY!! I didn't have one and even though I was on a pre op liquid diet I should have did one even though my doctor didn't require one. TMI I came home from surgery sore weak etc. Just to have 2 days later having to go potty but couldn't because of impacted bowels as the pain meds causes constipation and it was miserable!!!
