I had surgery in October. First find out what the requirements are for your insurance. I had to do a six consecutive month weight and exercise plan. If you have this already documented through your physician then he can refer you to a surgeon. Or call the surgeons office they should have detailed directions. If you are just beginning you start by going to a seminar that the surgeon provides

    Platue at 4 months

Try unjury chicken soup. It really is good and is 21 grams of protein. You have to order it online but you can order samples for like 2 bucks. Also my surgeons office gave me some samples of it and I tried it and loved it. It taste like creamy chicken bouillon in warm water

Well most people choose gastric over the lapband as lately there has been a lot of issues with the lapband. My surgeons office actually is considering not offering this surgery option because of all the revisions and failure rate. Also gastric bypass has a higher success rate and you lose more weight and it helps with diabetes and blood pressure etc.. so do the gastric its good news that your insurance covers it!!!

    2week post op liquid diet

You can drink more. The 2 ounces every 15 minutes is a guide to help you track and meet the. 64 ounces. Just sip and don't take gulps. When you get further out you will be able to drink without sipping. I am 11 weeks and finally can but I am still cautious

    Insurance question

Call your insurance company and see what's up. Maybe something simple they are waiting on or maybe surgeons office just hasn't received the approval yet

  16. That is awesome!! It is really hard with all the temptations out there. We just have to remember we are human and its not like we can never eat our favorite things again we just will be doing it in moderation. I don't like The word cheating because say I eat one chicken nugget that's better then the 20 I use to eat.

    Chronic nausea and other issues

Erica I too am almost 3 months post op and live daily with nausea and pain. I had my gallbladder out December 28 so 20 days ago and I am still having pain from that. I take zofran but it doesn't help much and I have loratabs but they make me sick as well. I have had 2 stricture procedures in the past couple of months and yesterday had a CT scan that only showed some fluid in my stomach in the gallbladder area I figured if the doc in ER was worried they would have kept me or transported me to my surgeons hospital an hour away.
