According to my bottle of papaya enzymes you can chew 4-9 daily -
If you can take 4 weeks it is best. Some people go back to work after a week or two

You are experiencing the stall that happens at 3-5 weeks out. Usually lasts a week or two. Your body is playing catch up and is trying to hold on to water. Try for a day or two to up your calories and just keep drinking your fluids and your protein. I am 3 months post op and just got over my second stall. First one was at 3 weeks out lasted for about two weeks and this one lasted for 4 weeks.

Sometimes I worry I'm not doing good...
kisersassy replied to lovealways's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
65 ounces is great!!! I was and still am required 75-80 grams of protein a day since coming home from surgery 3 months ago. You are not going to stretch your pouch!!! Hopefully you can keep doing a good job with the protein because you will have to get more daily soon -

Great job!! -
I don't like the word cheat!! Especially since we can eat regular foods just in moderation. I see nothing wrong with a nibble here or there just as long as its not nibbling all day all night every day. But if you have 5 chips in a week that's pretty good instead of the 5 bags a week. Or the one slice of pizza compared to the whole thing. Plus the toppings on pizza are good for you depending in the toppings. Cheese is. Veggies are. Protein in sausage and the other meats. The only thing not so good is the bread but we are allowed to have some breads in moderations. Please don't use the word cheat!! It just makes you feel guilty like you did something bad and need punished for!! We are human!!

What are the necessities?
kisersassy replied to pookybear's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Papaya enzymes are to help digestion. It especially helps with food that is stuck Or if you feel you ate too much. Some people just use meat tenderizer in warm water -
I had this before surgery. Luckily my surgeon schedules the EDG just a couple weeks after your first visit so it was diagnosed and treated way before surgery. This was the second tine I had this too. And yes the antibiotics to treat it is aweful and harsh and does cause a yeast infection and thrush sometimes

kisersassy replied to lovealways's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I weigh every day!! I am addicted and if someone tries to take it away they may lose a limb or two lol. I get down when I haven't lost any but I know its a process and eventually it will go in the right direction. And when it does it makes me feel more motivated
