    Nauseas

Thanks for the support everyone. Called my nurse practitioner and she had something called into my local chemist (pharmacy). I used it last night. God-send.
  2. Got home today and just woke up (137am) with a killer of a headache. Any ideas on what may be causing it?

    I'll call in the morning.
  6. My surgery was on Wednesday, 21 May. The surgery went off without a hitch. Surgery was scheduled for 0730 and by 1500 I was recovering in my room. Very little nausea, moderate pain (using very little pain killers), and keeping down my liquids. All seems to be going well except for the constipation factor and feeling full. The doctors let me come home today. I want to fast forward to where I feel normal again. Not bruised and icky.
  7. Surgery tomorrow. I'm scared. That's normal right?!
  8. Hahaha we'll never mind then. I have heard about the health care system in the uk. Very difficult . Be strong
  9. Bridget, have you been seeing a psychologist? I've found that my continued visits have helped with my anxiety from certain family members disapproval.
  10. Mine consists of two protein shakes a day and a 200-350 calorie meal (usually I do lean cuisine) and a vegetable salad. I'm a snacker so not having something to nibble in while reading is sometimes difficult but I'm doing pretty good so far. 2 days before surgery I go to an all liquid
  11. Tone find themselves watching hours of food network cooking shows. I'm not tempted to indulge but I'm just sitting here (hour 3) thinking why am I watching this?!

I can't eat any of that food. I'm on day 4 of pre op diet
  13. Hi, My name is Faye. I started my journey in August 2012. I am 34 and have been, what doctors call morbidly obese, most of my life. My surgery date has been tentatively scheduled for 21 may. I'm nervous about not knowing what to eat, eating the wrong thing, and then suffering from post op symptoms like ulcers, kidney stones, etc. I've lost 32lbs on my pre-op journey and while I'm excited about progress, I know that this surgery is just a tool to changing my life and living a healthy life. Thanks in advance for your support and advice. Faye

My surgeon is super adorable but I'm happily married. Are you interested enough to make a move? I don't think it'll be ethical.

    7 weeks out

    Congratulations. Yay
  17. Hi, I've been a part of this forum for just over a year and I'm finally getting to a point where i see a light at the end of the tunnel. I started my process in June 2013 through SHARP service provider but because of the financial factors I changed to a military doctor. I am hoping to have surgery through the military system (which in itself is a little bit scary). I've attended all my classes, lost my required 13-15 lbs (actually lost 20lbs), and "passed" my psych evaluation with a recommendation for monthly follow ups because of my stressful job and previous depression and anxiety. I even quit smoking in June 2012. I have been cleared to meet with the surgeon and am waiting for my appointment with him/her. I'm nervous, excited, scared, ready...a growing ball of emotions. I'm reaching out for support especially from those who have received care through military treatment facilities. Thanks in advance.
  18. Good luck to you, so close now. Sending you good vibes and saying a pray for you.

It was easier to give up smoking (smoked for 10 years) than it is to give up rolo's :-(
