Just wanted to say my surgery went very well. I had my surgery on 1/22/13 and I was up walking and feeling good and went home the next day now I'm home still feeling good and feeling normal but I forget to drink my protein and I don't think that's good I don't drink cause I get full so fast but why didn't my doctor tell me to eat my vitamins? That you all for your prayers God bless

Yes I had a referral but you don't need one they say that over and over when I went to my appointments

Hello everyone my Name is Cynthia, and I'm pre-op I have my surgery on 1/22/13 I read some people saying they had bad gas so my question is what do u guys recommend for gas after gastric bypass surgery?

Well I was under the impression that I was approved but I was wrong. The reason I thought I was approved because I called my insurance company 3weeks ago and I spoke to someone and they said I was approved so I was excited. So I've been calling my doctors office to see why haven't they contacted me to start my diet or to give me a date but I haven't got any response from they I leave messages everyday but nothing, so any way I called my insurance company bac and they tell me my case is on hold and I'm like what? Someone told me that I was approved but do anyone know what on hold means

Me to I glad that it an easy fix I just have to wait a little longer

Lol they need to make all of the class appointments like that so my appointment is 10/18 that's her earliest appointment

this psych has a website where you have to watch about 8 videos and fill out everything online so when you see her it's in and out

SO MY ADVOCATE JUST CALLED AND SAID THAT THE PSYCH EVAUL WASN'T ACCEPTABLE BECAUSE IT WAS DONE BY A LCSW AND NOT PHD SO MY INSURANCE DENIED ME AND SAID THEY WON'T PAY FOR MY SURGERY UNLESS I GET THE RIGHT PSYCH EVAUL, SO MY SURGEON OFFICE HAS A PSYCH AND THE VISIT ONLY TAKE 15MINS AFTER FILLING OUT A LOT OF PAPER WORK BUT AT THE TIME I DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY BUT NOW I DO, SO IS THIS A EASY FIX OR WILL I BE WAITING MONTHS ?

I expressed that I was having second thoughts about the surgery cause I'm scared the same thing will happen with my after and the nurse assured me that I will not be dealing with my advocate for after care she said that where she comes in at and there's always someone on call for emergencies.she say my advocate is there to get me to the point up to surgery. She say she's going to get to the bottom of everything cause what's the point of having an advocate if mine is not communicating with me. So I'll keep you posted or the out come
