My nutritionists has told me that is ok as long as I can get the proper amounts of fluid in at the very least! I almost got dehydrated because I was the same way, I just didn't want any food or water. I can tell you from experience, you DO NOT want to get dehydrated, worst feeling every! I'd rather have a bad flu than dehydration, yuck! Anyway, that's what she told me, fluids are the most important, protein is second. Hope this helps a bit....

Any secret vitamin websites i dont know about?
FatFreeinNC replied to lolawaiting's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I use Opurity Bariatric Vitamins, chewables for GBP patients. It's at unjury.com. If you look at the label, it has most of the B12, biotin, iron, that we are required daily so I didn't have to buy a bunch more vitamins as well. -

No, its been bothering me for a few days now. Stuck in a plateau, bawling my eyes out and if not crying, I'm really snappy. Driving me crazy as it's not me at all!! I'm just trying to keep eating, drinking and exercising and hoping it will pass VERY soon lol! I hear it is hormones...wow do I dread the change later in life if this is what it'll be like hahahaha! -

Hi everyone! So surgery this morning at 900. When weighed in I had lost 23 pounds on 2 wk liquid pre op diet!! Procedure went well. Was nauseas on morphine so switched to dilaudid and much better. Been walking and sipping and feel pretty good! Yup, the gas pains are a bit#!%*- but not debilitating. Hope every one else is doing well too!! Will check back in tomorrow.

I'm currently on the nicoderm patch, step 2. My surgeon and I spoke about it and I am just not going to use the patch anymore after surgery on Tuesday. The pain medicine, etc. will hopefully help me through the final withdrawals so I will be done!

Me too...although they did allow me a tiny sip of water to take my morning medicines.

Congratulations on your hard work!!! It sounds like it's really paying off To be honest, I can't wait to be able to just bend over and tie my shoes straight on instead of sideways or not at all!! Little things.....keep up the great work! I'll be on the losing bench as of this coming Tuesday the 13th. People like you inspire me!

I got the same way! Started my 2 week liquid pre-op diet last week and my surgeon had me start my new vitamin regimen, mainly to get used to it, etc. I started getting nauseated with the extra meds and having just liquids didn't help any either! I started taking them with my protein shakes since that's the only substance I have had and it's helped some. I have also evened out the vitamins, multi and biotin with breakfast shake, calcium and iron with lunch shake, etc. so I wasn't filling my stomach with all of them at the same time. Hope this helps....

Is This Normal During Pre-Op Liquid Diet?
FatFreeinNC posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi all! Quick question: I started my pre-op 2 week liquid diet this Tuesday (just 3 days ago). I am getting all my calories, liquids and Protein in as required. My question is this: today I feel jittery but in a good way, lots of energy, almost high on it so to speak. Is this normal? Is it just from cleaning out all that junk food, sugar, etc. and I am coming back to normal/healthy? It's such a weird physical feeling lol! Is this how you felt? Thanks!! -
Good riddance to bad, evil, tempting habits! Well said Butterfly!
