  1. I want to be around 140. My preop weight was 288. My current weight is 240. I am 5'2" and had my surgery on 6/6/12. I'd be happy with anywhere near 150 actually as long as I am healthy and can be active. That's what I'm missing...being active.

    Is Frozen Yogurt Ok?

    Hey I live in Sandwich. Not sure about ice cream places but there's a frozen Greek yogurt pop at Stop and Shop that is great and has 9 grams of protein. FROYO I think.

    Finally Joined A Gym. Now What?

    I joined a 24 hour gym in my area (cape cod) and love it. Every day I see different types of people in there. They are all working on themselves and so am I. I am 5'2" and 240 down from 288. I surprise myself every time I try a new machine. Started on the treadmill. Now I can do the elliptical for 15 minutes! And I had a session with a personal trainer for weight training. I find my stress level is down and my weight is falling off. My key to success is put yourself first and don't think about what others may think.

    40's New Beginnings

    I'm 46. I agree that getting in all the protein is key. I ran out of protein powder this week and am stalled. I can't wait for the mail to come Monday!! My order should be here.

    40's New Beginnings

    I had my surgery on June 6, 2012. Lost 48 pounds so far. I've gotten stuck a couple of times and even gained a pound one week. But exercising and getting all my water in usually breaks the plateau and gets things moving. I, too am nervous about not being as successful ad I'd like. But I feel great and am fitting into clothes I haven't worn in years.

    How Do You Know?

    At first I didn't know when I was hungry. Now I hear my stomach making noise and my head feels a little swimmy. When I couldn't tell, I just ate 3 times a day at regular times. That way I was sure to get my nutrients in.
