Post Op Questions
monica.londono replied to heather200202's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey! Welcome to the post op community !! I was on clear liquids for one week after and then started total liquids for an extra week, so I just started puréed food on the 3 week. Also my doctor didn't told me to start my protein shake and vitamins until I was 1 and a half months post op and I had no problems what so ever, but I'm NOT a doctor so maybe you have other needs different to mine. My advice would be to just give him a call and explain your tummy is not agreeing with the protein and vitamins, and ask if you can start in a couple of days or if you can start with less and increment it little by little. Good luck !! -
Hey!!! I just wanted to ask how many of you have had WLS outside the USA? Where and would you recommend it? I had mine done in Colombia and I recommend it 100%

I'm 20 and had my surgey may the 14th 2012. So far I have lost 35 pounds which is a third of what I need to loose. It is hard work but sooo worth it

That's amazing! And after the surgery as you lose the weight and gain the energy back you just feel sop motivated to carry on! Just hang in there everything gets better, much better. I also find that the closer to surgery the worst it got because off the anxiety, but find that by talking the anxiety instead of eating it help lots and lots!!! Good luck and keep up the great work
