You look amazing! I cried when I bought my size 30 work pants but then got over it because I loved my horrible better! Shame on me. I still squeezed in 28's. WAY TO GO on your size 16 and still shrinking. Again your pic is great. .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::. -
How far out are you? I thought for the 1st two months I was constipated, but after talking my surgeon he said your body is adjusting to life on less food and has less waste to get rid of. So in other words you don't have a collected amount to get rid of. If you aren't feeling the side effects of constipation, I wouldn't worry. If you do... Call your surgeons office. .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::.

Thank you everyone! I'm afraid I will always see the fat girl in the mirror. Funny, I do the same thing I hold up clothing and say these wont fit and vuala! They do! Just looking for some head relief. Will I ever not feel like the fat girl?! My mom years post op and post skin removal and she looks fabulous and she says she stills fat girl in the mirror. I'm just hoping I can wear smaller cloths and feel like okay.... I got this! Ugh, such a process! .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::. -

How do you treat yourself?
JustJenn replied to mcdoja's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When we eat out we go to regular where places and I order what I want and take everything left over for lunch and dinner. The last time we went to Olive Garden I ordered salmon and me and my hubby shared first time we actually split but it was huge. I find it funny the look I get when I order eat a few bites and ask for box. I've been asked several times if I liked it, was everything okay, cooked right. Etc. I just smile and say all was great. .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::. -
Marriage after surgery
JustJenn replied to Jackie0384's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree. It's easy to make food our common bond in a marriage. And our husbands find comfort in consistency, and this surgery and make your marriage doing cartwheels and complete 360. Find new bonds. Outside activities. Talk more. My hubby enjoys going hiking with me. He loves shopping for cloths with me. He loves when I ask his opinion on how stuff looks lol. I love the look he gives when I ask if something makes me look fat!!! Lol he gets this nervous look. To die for! We go to the movies a lot now. We don't do dinner and a movie. We mini golf and are going fishing today. We are back in dating mode to see what we enjoy doing together and talking about what is now important to us. I love that I can e goofy and obsessive about what I eat and he can he can ask me if I'm going to take one more bite because he doesn't want to hear me complain. Lol Don't get me wrong we still have out moments but I am committed to showing him that even though my packing had changed I'm still the same contents. Best of luck! .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::. -
A friend of mine had her child 16 months post. I'm tempted. My husband is like what's 2 more months?! Lol he thinks because I had c section 4 years ago and RNY I should wait the full 18 months. But then I say if we do we could possibly have two end of October birthday kids.... So I have him thinking maybe 16 months post isn't a bad idea .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::.

I feel the EXACT same way! My baby is going to 4 in October. We wanted to have our children 4 yrs apart. We should have been pregnant right now. I have such bad baby fever. Now I'm counting down until I can take my mirena out and we can start trying. 9 months until we can try. 18 months total..... .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::.

Need some advice
JustJenn replied to heather200202's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's a hard change for them too. I would stop telling them how much you've lost and what your current weight is. I'm sorry you are experiencing this. I am starting to sense this with my sister who I was bigger than now I'm the smaller one. I have her all of the new cloths I bought that are her size and she gave them back saying she didn't want my fat cloths. I didn't think of that like I thought this is name brand practically brand new. Work and casual. I was so offended. But whatever I think it's hard for her that she is no longer the smaller one. She is officially be bigger little sister. .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::. -
Wish I could bottle it up and give it out. I stay focused on how hard it has all been and keeps me focused. I'm most proud that I haven't drank soda. I was a soda freak needed it to survive! Lol or at least I thought I did. I haven't even thought about it. When I'm doing cardio I always look at the amount of calories burned. That keeps me FOCUSED!!! .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::.

My surgeon and nutritionist say stay away from Protein shots. I can't think at this moment what specific ingredient is in this that we shouldn't have. If I read the label I would know. But off the top of my head I don't remember. Plus we only absorb 30grams of protein (max) at a time. If I remember the ingredient I will get back to you. If someone can help me remember that would be great too. .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::.

I just seen that you replied. I don't feel that way. I haven't over done it. I'm in grad school, just finished comps. That's why I bought the bag. I was studying and craving. I'm done and over it too. I know my limits and know how long it takes to work off 100 calories let alone how hard it is to lose the weight even with wls. I also don't dump. But again, I stress... I know my limits and have a huge bag and only allow myself one at a time. Most days I don't even touch it. I've done my personal best and using my wls tool but I'm human and don't want to live limited. But please follow your doctor and don't try this a home lol .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::.

JustJenn replied to shyanne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's right! I use regular towel now lol. I love it. I also always have my leg crossed. And love that can use a regular bathroom. I naturally always walk to handicap first and stop... Laugh... And use regular one. I love being comfortable in a booth at a Resturant. there's space! .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::. -

JustJenn replied to shyanne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My favorite NSV ... I'm able to buckle my seat belt without lifting my butt/hip I can just click and go! I wear my watch and it slips up and down my wrist. .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::. -
How can I tell I'm full? How do I know if I'm drinking slow enough?
JustJenn replied to Nel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's when I know I'm full... Runny nose .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::. -
This is a thread I've been searching for!!! I'm 8 months post always hungry!!! It's my running joke now. I'm always hungry! I also developed a sweet tooth and can eat chocolate and not dump. It's sooooo hard! I bought myself fun size bag of chocolates and allow myself to eat 1-2-3 MAX per day. And I don't do it all at once one afternoon one evening and maybe one before bed or in bed. I do not do it every night but I'm aware if what I'm doing and practice will power. I do have a big bag of chocolate! Lol .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::.

How can I tell I'm full? How do I know if I'm drinking slow enough?
JustJenn replied to Nel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Im 8 months post op and struggle with not feeling full. So I have to be very aware of how much I eat. Seriously ONE bite too many can make or break me. I get a runny nose and sneeze. Funny but that's my sign that I'm full lol. When we are eating and I take one bite to many it feels stuck. Same feeling if I drink to fast or too much in one drink (gulp or attempt to chug) .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::. -
Very normal! I thought I was being normal and able to watch food network and be at the table while my family ate, but I became angry and emotional. I felt sad and like I got dumped by food lol. It was a phase for me and I back to watching food shows and life gets easier. You can do it! Stay strong hang in there .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::.
