I think Im just having a bad day & am afraid Im not getting enough fluids in! Im also a revison from lap band so things may be affecting me differently. It is not so much missing the food I used to eat, it just being hard to eat anyhting right now. I do know it will get better, I just have to hang in there.

Thanks Paige, I did see the premier shakes at costco so Im going to buy them..I feel better knowing you cant eat alot too! I was getting scared it was just me. Yes, let me know how the tuna goes. I have some also & was going to try it but I have such bad gas all the time.. Thanks!

Hi Paige, Today is my first day back to work. I am still having diffculty eating, drinking.. I have lots of gas & need to take prilosec everyday. I have never had heartburn issues before & I woud eat lots of junk! I am not getting enough Protein or Water down.. I try to do my Protein shake in the am but it still comes back up. I can barely do 4 ozs.. I then had some coffee & can only do a few ozs.. Hot tea seems to do ok with me.. I try string cheese & can barely get that down. I am having regrets everyday........... I have lost about 18 lbs which is good.

I'm a revision & had no reflux with the band. I'm 3 weeks post op & have reflux all the time. I have been taking prilosec everyday & if I miss one day, the reflux is back. Not sure why I have this issue now, never had it before!

I had lap band done by Dr Ortiz in 2007. I went to him because of his reputation online. I felt his bedside manner was just so so. He was also very expensive. I just had a revision done with Dr Garcia last week. his price was great & he has an excellent & caring bedside manner. Stayed in a hospital for 2 nights & hotel for 3 nights. His nurses were also great. I felt no pain. In my opinion he Is one of the best in Tijiuana.

I'm 5 days post op& the gas pain is very painful. Even Water hurts going down. I have to sip very small sips. I had my sleeve done in Mexico & just got home yesterday. I did go to Target today & bought gas x chewable pills & Gaviscon. The liquid med they gave me in Mexico doesn't seem to be working to good so I hope the Gavviscon helps. I am Able to drink hot tea In the am , aple juice, chicken broth, all ok. not sure why water would hurt.

I work for large & well known medical facility in AZ. It would be very rare for a Doctor to Email you. You would go though his nurses who would triage the situation & then respond to your question. I was just released from Dr Garcia yesterday, he tol me to contact Rosie or Melly with any questions. I was given a list of name & phone numbers when I left the hospital. In fact Rosie clalled me last night & is coming by today to see me. Debi

they do labs, EKG, in Mexico. They did tell me to me to make sure Ihave my labs repeated in 2 weeks when I'm back home in the US by my PCP. I'm am so sorry to hear that your PCP won't help you. I don't understand how your doctor will refuse you care. In Mexico, they take a complete health history. You see an anesthesiologist, Internl med doctor, Dr Garcia & they ask about your health history. Hope this helps!

I'm here in Meixico now, had surgery Mondy, 7/9 with Dr Garcia. My husband was really impressed with the care I recvd. everyday I feel a little better. the broth at the Marriott is good. Nurses at Mi hospital were always there with pain med, cleaning my wounds. It really is a great experience. I'm still a little tired so sleeping quite bit. no catheter!

if I was having symptoms after my surgery, I wouldn't wait 3 days for any doctor to call back. I would go the nearest ER for treatment. Since I'm having my surgery in Mexico. & live in AZ, I'm not sure what ALM could do for me, except to say go the ER. I am sorry that your friend had issues. Hope she is doing better.

What about a doc that offers financing through their office? I know Dr Rodriquez does & Dr Garcias office is letting me finance $2000. Do you have a 401K can you take a loan from? Good luck, hang in there.

I started looking to book surgery a few weeks ago & Dr Kelly was not listed on "A lighter me" website.. Im going to be using Dr Garcia through them & the price for a revsion was $5500..I have had my band already removed. I have read many excellent comments about Dr Garcia so I am very comfortable with my decision. A Lighter me has been very helpful & answered all of my questions promptly!
