Ok - I need to know if anyone else has had this reaction. I started my liquid diet on Monday and at the same time, eliminated caffeine. I was not a huge caffeine person, just one diet coke every morning. I did fine on Monday, but came down with an awful headache Monday night (which I totally expected from the caffeine withdrawal). What I did not expect is the hours and hours of vomiting that I had to deal with yesterday as my body went through it's withdrawal. IT WAS AWFUL!!!!!!!! Just curious if anyone else is having trouble either with the liquid diet or giving up caffeine. Good news is I have lost 12 pounds in 2 days!

Hi January date-mates! I am so excited that the start of our life changing month is less a week away! On the way to Walt Disney World to ring in the new year right! As I was packing I kept thinking that this will be the last time I go as a huge person. We are going back in June and can't wait to compare the differences. It will be nice to not be so tired with aching feet and not fit comfortably on the rides. What are you all looking most forward to????? Happy New Year to all of you! 2013 is going to be a big one for us!!!!!!! Mary

Sleep Study Completed... I Think I Failed!
Wdwfreak replied to Catgyrl68's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The sleep study was my last step also and I failed. I was able to try on a few masks before my second sleep study where they calibrated my machine. I actually started with a full face mask and tried it for two weeks but it kept losing the suction and just was shooting water and air in my eyes . I then switched to a nasal mask and it only has one, very comfortable strap, which prevents "strap hair". It is made by Fisher & Paykel and is called the Pilairo. No matter what mask, adjusting to a Cpap is tough, if you do get a machine, give yourself time to get used to it. I was very motivated to use it and make it work since my doc checks the card and won't do the surgery unless I am using it at least 4 hours a night. -
I totally know how you feel - I am too soooooo excited and committed. My family thinks I am nuts, but they don't understand. Congrats to you, I can't wait to see how you feel after surgery, I am one week after you!

I am having mine done at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. They have a wonderful bariatric center there. -
I am so sorry you are in this position. Everything about this journey is stressful and then having to deal with this is just too much. You need to keep your surgery and move forward with your plan. Remind your husband that you are in this TOGETHER and you need to support each other. At this point, no one is telling your husband he can't have the surgery, they are just asking for blood work and another physical. That is easy and should not cause a huge delay. He should still be able to have his surgery in January if he get those appointments in this month. Good luck to you and keep your chin up!!!!!!!!

Hi lovealways! Our journey's are so similar, I went through all of that as well. What made the process come to a stop in August was the pulmonary consult. He refused to give me clearance until I did a sleep study. Well, as you can imagine, that sleep study confirmed I had sleep apena, so I had to go for a second sleep study to calibrate my Cpap. To make matters worse, the pulmonologist refused to clear me until I had been on the Cpap for 30 days. It was awful, I cried for days I was so angry. I had hoped to have all of this done and have had the surgery in September and he screwed it all up. I have gotten over all of that and know that he did me a favor, but it was really hard at the time. I am so excited for you! Good luck at your weigh-in on Monday and please keep me posted once you get your surgery date!

I'm Pre-Op..what Do I Need To Stock Up On Before Surgery?
Wdwfreak replied to hihellohowdy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks so much, this is great. I am making my shopping list right now!!!! I believe unjury is only available online - www.unjury.com. I just bought the starter pack that came with a nice sample of their flavors. I thought it was a great way to try each of them to see what I like and what I don't before I invest in a ton of it. Unjury came highly recommended by my RNY support group.
