Congrats on your decision! It took me 6 years! Ask yourself are you ready to eat like a healthy person? Can you give up certain foods (due to lack of tolerance) and are you ready to love life and yourself? Are you ready to exercise? Enjoy your journey cuz your life will change!

Anyone Need To Lose 200+ Pounds
plgondeck replied to Lindsey's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Have faith in yourself! It is perfectly normal to feel like your gonna fail. Set little goals physically and also learn from the beginning how to eat like a healthy person. Can you do it? Heck yeah! My buddy lost almost 300lbs in two years! But the key is: you must change your life! I would live to be any buddies support person! Private massage me and we can exchange info! Have faith! -
Florida of course you will loose weight but you gotta ask yourself one question, did you have this surgery to be healthier and get control of your weight issues. Of course your gonna loose but 6 months out, a year, 18 months you have not modified your behavior. I learned that all those foods I use to love it wasn't the food at all it was the memories surrounding it! Nothing taste as good as healthy feels. All I ask that you follow your surgeons rules so you don't injure yourself. This is going to be a long journey. Pace yourself and really get to know yourself and why you got to the place you were per surgery!

Genetics plays a roll but let's not fool ourselves. A lot of hard work will eliminate a lot of it. If I didn't walk the walk, I wouldn't say a word. Yes replace the fat with muscle and you will be amazed. It won't be perfect but you will love your body ad be healthier! Remember 1 lbs of muscle will burn 25 times more calories and in my opinion muscle looks so much better than fat.
