I forgot the canned cranberry sauce has sugar in it. I avoided the candied yams but didn't even think of the cranberry sauce. I'm almost two months out so I guess I get to see how I react to sugar now.

I am almost two months out and I still do alot of cottage cheese and yogurt. Soft fruits and cooked veggies. I can't do egg yoke or pork. But chicken, fish and shrimp work well for me too.

I miss the fuzziness. I didn't even really drink soda before my surgery but I love those clear fizzy fruit drinks. But I'm afraid of stretching my pouch.

In Reference To Marijuana
MrsCaluza replied to Lebim's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor didn't test for anything. I would suggest investing in a vaporizer, that way your not inhaling smoke. I was also wondering about edibles, but I didn't think anyone n here would be able to answer that either. -

I haven't had much pain since week one I'm almost done with week three and they took my staples out yesterday. Last night I kept being woken up by pains in my belly. It's not a deep pain, it's like a muscle pain, and it's mainly under two incisions. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

I keep seeing people say that you don't feel hungry after surgery. I'm about 3 weeks post op, and have felt hunger since I got home from the hospital. I know everyone's going to say its head hunger, but it really doesn't feel like it. So mu question it how do you know the difference?

Thanks!

The surgery messes with your hormones too. I was told I'm going to go through puberty again.

October Surgery Dates
MrsCaluza replied to RhondaWilliams's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery date was 10/2. I have no idea how much I weigh cause I don't have a scale. But people are making comments already. -
I like matrix, but I can't stand the nectar ones.

Has any one else had some seriously messed up dreams since surgery?

-
I'm 5 days post op and in my post op instructions it says I can have blended bean Soups. My question is do you think that tvp would be ok? Tvp is textured vegetable Protein for those that don't know.

Soo sore. The worst part was them taking out the drain with out any pain meds. I was out of recovery at 4 yesterday and up and walk by ten last night. All the nurses were surprised that I was able to move around so well and so soon. Even walked out of the hospital instead of being wheeled. Feel liike I'm finally ready for my adventure to begin.

Everyone kept saying I won't feel hungry for like a year after surgery but the day after surgery I was hungry. And it's not just head hungry by stomach is actually growling. Wtf?!?

Why Am I Still Hungry?!?!
MrsCaluza replied to MrsCaluza's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah 70-80oz. -
48 hours since I last ate and I'm getting a dehydration headache from the bowel prep. It seems very counter productive to make some one this weak right before surgery. But 12 hour until surgery! I'm never gonna sleep tonight.

Some jerk brought pizza in the waiting room lol

So after not passing the psych eval in September with a doctor that doesn't normally work with bariactric patients And having them cancel my surgery a week before, I had another one on Tuesday and my pre op yesterday and surgery will be on Monday. The second psych said she didn't understand why I didn't pass the first time. I was all set I had every thing settled in my mind, I was all ready for surgery. Now,I'm freaking out again. Don't get me wrong it's not the lifestyle change I'm worried about its the surgery. I had my gallbladder removed but besides that I have never even had a stitch I'm kinda freaking out, but my husband is more. He has combat PTSD and is having major anxiety over this. I having to be strong and tell him i will be ok but I'm freaking out inside.

I have only told a hand full of people about my surgery. Honestly is because I'm ashamed I let my self get this big, and ashamed I can't loose the weight by my self. My husband knows of course, my parents and in-laws, my boss and partner at work, and two friends. I have no idea what I'm gonna tell people when I start loosing weight. How am I going to explain the pictures of me to my son when he gets older? Anyway did you tell everyone? If not who did you tell?
