    So different!
  8. 2.5wk post op, wicked gas pains today after having to do a suppository and taking vitamin supplements for the first time. Gas is so bad I can feel it in my back...it's enough to make me bend over and uncomfortable in bed...I laid briefly on my tummy this Afternoon but not long and MIT much weight. The gas is hanging out right in the centre of my tummy...
  9. 2.5 wk post op and I'm on my moon (period) and I cannot stop craving everything in site!!! I ate jello too fast and have wicked gas now and feeling like shit. Vulnerable and tired and achy and sore and crappy and bloated and blah and blah, ugh

    Moontime Cravings

Fortunately I'm too scared to fall into my cravings however I do the chew and spit, it helps to taste things but there comes a huge sadness with that too...that this actually used to be my heroin and that my last tastes are amongst me. I hate that good is so fuvking special, breaks my heart

    Moontime Cravings

I figured that with your nickname Nish, lol. We say Neech in the Cree world, Neechi means friend in Cree and we use it as a way of identifying any aboriginal people, a kind way of course:)

    Comfy Sleep Positions?

Excellent. Pillows helped me a few days post op by just hugging it into my tummy and laying on my side. Here's to restful nights!
  13. So I'm 2 wks out and just realized I was eating some things I'm not supposwd to. Some with way too much sugar and bison meat ground, the dietician said that she could t believe I didn't dump, lol. This is scary cause I was hoping I would if I ate something I'm not supposed to! But I have enough will power to refrain from those things especially if it's going to stall my progress. Anyone else experience this?

16 Days Out, I Need Help!

Thank goodness your alright! I'm about 2wks out and I realize that I can consume more water and others things that u didn't was possible, so weird. There's plenty of emotions and trauma after a car accident and the more serious the accident the more trauma. If these feelings aren't felt and dealt with head on then it's easy to turn to food for some comfort. Back to liquids for you my dear and drink water, water cleanses the body and makes us feel rejuvenated. As a treat have some sugar free Popsicles. Nothing is forever my dear so just for now make this a must. Embrace your life like you expect every twist and turn and don't you dare feel bad about it. Just pick yourself back up and try again. Yay you!!
  15. I'm 1.5wks post op and wondering how much I shoul be consuming, or up to kinda thing...

    Stress!

Sounds like a lot and I'm so glad you posted here when you needed to vent, your always so real and that's admirable. These are the times that out addictions stare us in the face and say "common, I dare ya!" and it's our spirit and heart that pulls us through. So I'm suggesting to feed your spirit and your heart. Somethings that work for me are yoga, listening to Tony Robbins (sounds cheesy but I can't believe how unpowered I feel after I listen to this guy), have chats with good family and friends, play cards and drink tea, read something naughty or nice and research. I like to research things do that I can better understand situations I'm in or how to make dreams a reality. Your doing amazing, a mother without her child after a surgery like this is life changing...go with it, you are so strong and can only get stronger from here!

    Feeling Frustrated

Ah NO! Don't doubt yourself ever when it comes to protecting your children, you are Mama bear and the level of your reaction was nowhere near "too much". I'm sorry you had to go through that, must have absolutely terrifying!

K Wait, So No Alcohol Ever?!

Wow, I guess it really is different for everyone. I did learn more about alcoholism in gastric bypass patients, sorta like the catch the dragon.

    Popcorn?

    I wonder why Jen?
  20. Finally I'm on purée foods And my first thing was cottage cheese shooters with peppers. I'm eating an ounce every 15mins until done and I can literally feel the food going through my system, so strange.
  21. Why are you allowing the pressure of eating with your colleagues to determine your health? You've made a decision to change your life and your body is still healing, be kind and gentle on your body. Take a walk during meal times, go get a real iced tea with Splenda and do what your body needs you to do. Suffering is optional.
  22. Had kinda started a thread earlier however I just want to know what folks are experiencing and how soon are you experiencing sex after surgery? I was 5 days post op and it was incredably helpful with gas and cramping the next day. Positions can be a little tough but worth it! ????
  23. Not entirely sure for the month but I'm one wk out and I've lost 11lbs in that wk, with my two wk fluids it all totals 25lbs. My goal for the month of August was too loose 25lbs, I'm there and I have 9 days left and I'm feeling strong:)
