    Eating a lot

It does change at about 6-8 weeks it seems. But the liquids do help. The swelling has gone down so you can eat a little more.
  8. WHOO HOO! You look great! I bet you are soooo proud of yourself and you should be!
  9. It does! I had a very rough first week as well. Hang in there! I found the chewables worked better for me as well. Hugs!!!
  10. You can dump on any sugar or none of them. I know I am pretty OK with fruits and white sugar (no that I eat that much of either) but even a little bit if honey and bam! It is a lot of trial and errors. Just take everything slow and in small amounts according to your diet/stages plan. You will be able to slowly add fruits back into your diet but make sure you speak with you Nutritionist about when and how much esp since you are diabetic. I would call your dr. about what to do about "lows".

    WOW You look fantastic!
  12. WOW you look amazing! I can't believe you still have 60 pounds to go. Congrats
  13. You sound just like me at your stage. The time will fly by! They use your starting BMI so you should be fine. Good luck to you!

    Disappointed =(

No, you are fine. You hit the famous 2-3 week out from surgery stall. Your body is just adjusting. Just hang in there and keep up the good work. On a side note, be careful with exercise. It is so easy to reinjure yourself at this stage. I learned the hard way. :-)

    Sleep Eating

I have heard hypnosis can help this but Music is right, call your doctor. It may be a vitamin deficiency or not eating enough. Good luck. That just sucks.

    Friday Weigh-In!

Starting Weight - 275 DOS- 262 11/19/2012 Today - 214 Averaging about 2-3 pounds per week. Just hope it keep up for a while.
  18. Hi All, I cannot believe it has been over three months since my surgery. I am down 60 pounds overall from 275 and down 48 from surgery. My loss has been pretty steady, on the slow side, but I am OK with that since it keeps coming off. I have had some gains here and there but they don't last. My exercising is getting better. I am walking every day before work. It is not a lot but at least it is better than nothing. I am down from a 22/24 to a 14/16. Just bought some new clothes for work. I was lucky to have some horded away from before. I do get depressed some days, looking for more weight loss, missing certain foods, etc. but this is the best decision I have ever made. When I get down I go look at my size 14 jeans LOL. I am turning 41 tomorrow and I am not unhappy this year the way I was last year about my weight. It is a LONG AND HARD road but it gets easier every day. I try not to think about the future and take it one day at a time. I wrote on MFP that I carried a 50 pound bag of salt up the basement steps last week and that was struggle. Then is dawned on me that I was carrying that weight around and more. My highest weight in 1/2011 was 298. That was a real shocker to me! For the pre-op folks out there: It is worth it. If I can do this you can too.

Energy... what to do with it?

I drove my hubby crazy before surgery. He said the same thing to me the other day. I am up at 4:30 and in bed by 9:30. But I do crash when I hit the bed.

    Traveling?

Six hour is a long time in a car. I know I did two back to back four hour trips about two months out and I worn out afterwards. Also, be very careful getting in and out of the car. The twisting motion can pull at your wounds (Internal and external). Personally, I don't think I would do it but it each person after surgery is different. Wish you the best.

    is it different for lesbians?

I think no matter what community we are in there will be people that judge and people that support. All I can say is this is a journey you have to do for yourself and no one. And if you will be a better person (health wise) and feel better then by all means go for it. I wish you the best of luck.

    Chub Rub

Well, when I get it I have used Desitin Multi-Purpose Ointment

    super nervous! !

It is OK. I was nervous too. However, I was never measured. They just asked me how I slept at night and I did not have to get the sleep study done. I would assume the frame measurement is for your final weight.
  24. Holy Crap! You look amazing! Actually like a different person! WOW Congrats
