Falicia: my weight is all over the place too. You had a different complication then me but our bodies are in shock. Also protein helps heal so this is a bit concerning but yes talk to your dr. Prayers. We can get thru this. I've only lost a pound since my surgery. Hugs!!

Yes! Take as much time as you need don't rush it. We all heal different. I keep thinking why I still feel like crap and others are back to work. I had complications so I can't compare. We need to take the time to heal and adjust. The gas pain is unreal. Period...

Oh thank goodness! I'm a little over a week out. I knew hormones would act up but damn so soon lol. I thought I was crazy!!

Hiccups and laughing are no fun either. I had hiccups the first two days. That I didn't expect.

I want high boots I want to go to Kennywod (local amusement park) I want to not be the biggest woman in the room at my business meetings I want people not to assume anymore the fat girl is tired and needs to eat. (Yes this happens) I want to not fear eating in public and enjoy the meal and conversation I want to not panic a month before and event about what I am going to wear or try to find something in my size that is not hideous or 100 a piece for crap clothes (LB you suck). Ok I feel better now lol. :-)

I crack up at this all the time. I'm so excited to have cream of chicken soup today (strained). Lol. Never in my life would I be excited over cream of chicken soup unless there was stuffing and chicken under it. :-).

Yes getting up and down the first few days are hard. The damn gas is unbelievable. You are blown up like a parade balloon. I was able to do stairs with no problems but have not done the bed. I'm still in the recliner. Maybe the bed later this week. I'm one week from RNY but four days from stricture surgery. Good luck!!

I want to say thank you! The info you posted about your symptoms helped me recognize mine pretty quickly. Mine was a little different. My bowl twisted with a staple three days out but the symptoms were the same. Nothing staying down and severe nausea. I too had another surgery and so far so good. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing.

That just doesn't sound good. You shouldn't be in that much pain this far out. They did an upper and lower GI on me (barium not scope). It was nasty but they found the issue quick. If you are still in pain I'd call them again. Prayers!

You do need to shake up and wake up your body. Go back to basics: high protein lots of water and write it all down. I know in the past I've lost of liquid protein. Maybe day on day off? Change the workout up too.

Kellbell: your post sounds exactly like me. I hate myself and I am ashamed of being at this state. It consumes me. I'm doing much better about it. My surgery was last week and even felt like I was being punished when I had to have a second surgery for a stricture. Things are ok now. But I hear you. This board has been a tremendous help. Please reach out if you have any questions or just need a pep talk. You have already found friends!!
