worm2872 replied to Lovebone89's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Lovebone, I know everyone is different but that does not sound normal. What has your Dr. said? -

We are all so different. I use Syntrax Nectar Chocolate Truffle almost everyday. It is really the only one I like. -

worm2872 replied to JustJenn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Jenn, Wow you looke great! I have watched your progress pretty much from the time I decided to have this surgery and found the site. So that has been about 8 months. :-) Thanks for the inspiration! -
You are right! I am mad at myself for not being 'thinner' for my business trip next week. Hello, I have lost 68 pounds! I need to rem that and the fact I am healthier!

I feel like i dont have any support
worm2872 replied to hlg117's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The only person this should ever be done for is you! I know you are aware of that but do not let them sway you if you think this is the right tool for you. I will tell you that my BF had a similar thing happen to her and her marriage did not survive it. But she is now a size 8, healthy and has a new man who seems to support her. You may want to talk this out with a counseler. I wish you the best of luck!!! -

Paul, LOOK AT YOU!!! You look wonderful! You must be so proud. You are my hero!! Keep it up
-
Heba, Welcome! This is a great place for support. Some of us here are just slower than others but the weight will come off. Just keep it up. It is hard but just think how much healthier you are now for your little girl! I bet she is beautiful! Good luck and feel free to ask any questions you may have. Are you doing a high Protein diet?
-
Since about a week or so out I have used Dannon Light and Fit Greek Yogurt. I still eat it almost everyday. It is a bit thinner and I get the Vanilla. 80 Calories and 12 grams of protein in the whole container. I never had an issue with the sugar and my Dr was OK with me eating it. I started out really slow and was fine.

Surgery was 3/19, Discharged 24 hours after RNY?
worm2872 replied to Ab1986's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have heard of one day in but the averge is two. I loved my heating pad during recovery. One thing I can say is do not push it. I got cocky about a week out and reinjured some of my 'wounds'. WOW would not wish that on anyone. I was already off of pain meds and was having an allergic reaction so I had to suffer through it. Also, take everything slow at first... eating, drinking, walking, exercise, etc. good luck and congrats -
Well, mine told me around 900 a day is where they see the best weight loss. I am four months out and still between 650-800 depending on the day.
-
Thanks! And I have not had a chance to tell you I love your photo! You look great.
-
well...there went todays diet
worm2872 replied to califmomto4's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yep I have been there! It OK. One day is better than the life we use to have. Plus, it probably was good for your system to spike your calories. It gets your body out of the 'rut'. Good luck! -
How long does the approval process usually take?
worm2872 replied to Kurstin's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have Aetna and it took them over two weeks of doing literally nothing until I called the main corp number in Philly and spoke with someone in pre autherization. After that, it took about 1 day to get approved. -
That does make it easier and this board really helps too!
-
I am the same way. I have always eaten too fast and man I have paid for it since surgery. I have to put that fork down and chew 20 times. It is a hard lesson to learn. I love the idea of splitting the food in half. Thanks
-
I can eat more than a half cup now. I am four months out. But it depends on what it is. Soup and chili fill me up fast but I can do 4 OZ of meat really with no issues.
-
I had a few rounds but a spear was after 2 months because of the skin.
-
Thanks for the reminder!!! I know there are days when I just want to eat a veggieor cheese and say heck with the meat/protein but the hair loss and the fatigue that it can cause makes me eat it.
-
I have the 25 calorie Swiss Miss that I mix with milk sometimes in the evening.
-
Congrats! I was nervous the whole process. Even the Dr. appointments made me want to jump out of my skin. There are a lot of hoops to jump through but it goes fast. Good Luck!
-
Oh I hear you!!! I just want below that line. It is taunting me. I am sure you can do the 25-30 pounds!
