    The Scale!

I learned a long time ago that if I don't weigh everyday I get way to lax in my eating. I have kept it to once a day.

    Eating after Gastric Bypass

I'm kind of the same way. I can eat a lot. I'm about 7 weeks out. I try to visualize about a 1/2 cup. I used to carry one with me for a reminder (last year on a strict diet) about portion size. It's really hard. You are not alone. I'm always terrified I've stretched my pouch out. I'm just forcing myself to stop eating. I was good last night I did get the over full feeling. Not bad but I was happy to have it.
  6. Actually I'm struggling. I am trying to control the picking at night. I keep my phone in my hands a lot. It's so scary how much I ate/ picked at food. I'm thinking about taking up knitting to keep my hands busy.

    Chewing and swallowing HELP

I'm the same way. I take smaller normal bites and chew the heck out of it. I read to chew 25 times before you swallow. Takes practice.

    Bucket Lists

I of course wanna be healthy but: I want to be able to wear high boots!!! I have huge calves I want not to be the biggest woman in the room at work I want less anxiety when I fly ugh I want to be in single digits in clothes so I can walk into any store and not be looking at jewelry I want to wear a pair of VS undies. The hot ones I want not to be thinking about what to wear in the summer to cover my arms and legs when it is 90 and I'm sweating like a pig (less of that would be nice too)

    Progresso soup

They also have a lentil soup that's high in protein. I was not a fan but a lot of people like it here.

    Rice?

I've had about a tablespoon of brown. I would not do more then that just out of fear it puffs up.
  14. It's much better but I hope the more weight I lose it kicks up the hormones. I have no drive. Poor hubby.

    What the heck...

Oh I understand. You are young so it will probably clear up faster. I'm 40 with wrinkles and now acne. Yea. Lol

    what could this be?

I was told it is scar tissue. I had a couple like that. They seem to be fine now. It was the ones they had to go into twice so they were really beat up.

    I need some help...

Jess and Music, Thanks! You are both right. I am at about 27 pounds too. Logically, I have thought all you have said but the Dr. threw me for a loop and this morning UGH. I am feeling a little better thanks to all of your kind words and REALITY CHECK!!!! I have been stuck at this weight before so that doesn't help. Ab, thanks!! :-)

    Got the call

WHOOO HOOO! Great news. The next two or so weeks will go SO FAST!!! We are all here for you! GOOD LUCK
  22. Hi All!! I have noticed over the past few days there are a bunch of us struggling with the same things right now so I thought I start a thread. So, after my visit to the dr yesterday I am in complete panic mode. I was told 800-900 calories and at least 70 grams of protein. I know this is best but I am completely terrified. It is like it has given me a license to eat. I was not snacking. They told me to snack to get my food and protein in. But I'm scared. If I pick all day I can but that is what got me here in the first place. Also, I see all of these people 6, 9 months out eating 600 calories and dropping weight like crazy. I'm already behind and stalling again. So, I want to eat to "lose" like the say but afraid. I have been getting better with water but the exercising has faded. I leave for work at 7 AM and don’t get home to almost 6:30. I am so tired by then. (Yes need more protein). By the time I cook dinner and clean up it is 8 and I am ready for bed. (How sad is that). I am down about 28 pounds. How are all of you coping?
  23. I have decided to do some old fashioned excercises in my office at work. At least it will help with toning. I am also going to get my butt on that damn treadmill and pliates machine. But I know once I start this I am not going to lose for a while. It really ticks my body off to eat less and exercise. We shall see...

    5weeks out and discouraged.

Kris, I am about 6/7 weeks out. See my post today under Post Op titled I need help. I am frustrated as well but in reality we are doing fine. I bounce between weight all the time and others do too before the weight drops off. I know it is frustrating but you will be ok. I am at about 700 calories as well. They told me to up my Protein from 60-65 to at least 70 so I am. Hang in there!!! I bought a day of the week container for my supplements. I fill it up once a week and this way I know what I need to take is ready. When I leave for the day I toss them in a baggie. Right now what I hav left is on my desk. Also, Welcome!
