    Greek yogurt?

I'm not a fan of the strawberry. The vanilla Dannon light is much better.

  4. Yep started two days later worst one of my life. Then had to have a stricture surgery ugh!
  5. I need help.... I am so depressed. I am almost seven weeks out and I am only averaging around 2 pounds per week. I’ve only lost 9 pounds in the last 4 weeks. I am on my second stall. I was at the doctor's on Wednesday and when I asked about it they just said you should be averaging at least 5 pounds per week now and then just looked concerned. I get my fluids, Vitamins and Protein in almost every day. I'm even eating 700 calories a day which is more than most people at my stage. And no, my measurements have not changed. Waist is barley an inch smaller. I just can't believe I had my insides altered for almost the same results I was getting before surgery. The Dr. told me to up my protein (only 10 grams which I was close to on most days anyway) and take a laxative (that has been an issue but it has not helped with the weight). I am just so scared right now and I am trying not to cry as I sit here and type this. Any encouragement or kind words would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Heather

    How many times?

I was the same way. I think we are just absorbing everything we drink. I know I was one step ahead all the time of dehydration even though I tried to drink all day long.
  9. My PCP who is also a bariatric Dr said it can really happen at any point with massive amounts of weight loss but will pass. And it's worse with women. Nice lol
  10. Lisa, yes! You look much thinner! Good for you. :-)

    Just weak

That's pretty normal. We just shocked our bodies and eat so little. It started to pass with me about three to four weeks. Even now I can sometimes feel it in my legs on stairs. Just keep moving as much as you can. 60 grams is pretty good for where you are at. Hope you feel strong soon!

    3 days post op

Hi Kim!! Welcome. And congrats! I'm about 8 weeks out and they are right each day gets better. There will be some rough spots around the third and four week from pouch healing. You just won't want to eat. But I started to feel really good at that point too. Hang in there. Good luck.

  14. http://www.sparkrecipes.com/ Spark recipes You can sort by dietary needs low fat/low carb/ sugar free and number of calories per serving.
  15. I am two months out and I was only getting in like 500-600 calories a day doing three meals. My Dr. actually told me to start doing more mini meals (AKA snacking) since I was not getting in enough calories. I do one late afternoon, which is good since I get queasy if I don't, and maybe late morning I am now closer to 700-800. I lost 4 pounds this week but I am scared the opposite way. I don't want to snack but I can't get the calories in if I don't. Sigh

    protein bars

Pure Protein bars have 3 grams of sugar and 20 grams of protein. I don't eat them everyday but when I need to eat (like when it is crazy at work) I break it in half or thirds for a quick snack.

    I need some help...

I actually started a little note book and write down the amount of weight I lose each week. I can see the pattern now. Go a week or two drop very little then bam 3-4 pounds drop off. I use MFP pal but you don't see the week by week as easily on there.
  18. I have been really into Morning Star Garden Burgers. I like the fact that it can just be microwaved for lunch. Something differnet and 10 grams of Protein. I also like stuffed shells with meat sauce. I don't eat the shell but the cheese and the meat sauce sure are good.
  19. Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery: Over 140 Delicious Low-Fat High-Protein recipes to Enjoy in the Weeks, Months and Years After Surgery I bought this book from Amazon and I really like it. What's great about it is they break a lot of them down into the different stages and they tested them in each stage. Pretty cool

    Friday Weigh-In!

Pre-op 275 DOS 262 11-19-2012 Today 231 I finally lost all the weight I gained back after losing 60 pounds last year. I started at 298 and got to 231 and then back up to 275. This is what pushed me to RNY. I am happy to be back in the clothes I bought last year. 1st goal accomplished.
  21. Army wife, thank you!!! My hubby picked up a 25 pound turkey the other day and said here pick this up. Then said now do you still think you haven't lost anything? Lol Also look at a pound of butter. Pure fat. Puts that "I only lost one pound" in perspective.
