    6 month diet woes

Yes cut back slowly. Start by cutting out one thing for a few days. Then add something else. For example get a latte with skim milk or the potato without bacon and cheese. You can do this!!! It just takes time. See if your NUT can give you a sample diet plan. I always do better with something visual.
  2. Woo hoo! Congrats. Welcome to your new life. There will be some rough patches but overall it is wonderful.
  3. Anyone else hungry? It's actually waking me up! This is really hunger. I feel like like until I eat. WTH? I thought I'd get a few months without hunger. As far as the calories are concerned, I'd do what the dr/nut says but there are calories in liquids too. How many are you getting now? I'm confused too.
  4. Yep at least 800. It's hard but as soon as I bumped up I stared losing again but 45 pounds is a huge loss!!!! I'm at two months and only 36 down. Your body is in shock and needs to adjust. You will start losing again.
  5. Congrats on your surgery!!! :-). I'd snap and tell her to shut the hell up. I was pretty foul right after surgery. Lol. Good luck! You'll be home soon.

    Fell OFF the wagon

I wish I had some great inspiring words but this has been such a roller coaster for me as well. I'm two months out and like you I'm down 36 pounds. I've been pretty good with everything. I'm tired of no bread or veggies or fruit or salad or a cookie or pizza etc. I wanted a salad soooooo bad yesterday but no I picked two sandwiches a part and gagged the lunch meat down for protein (I was at a work meeting and traveling). I got so damn upset I couldn't (didn't have room) for a salad I went in the break room and ate part of a brownie. I felt like a freak in the room, no salad??? I guess Better than the whole brownie, it was huge, but felt like crap mentally. WTH. All I can say is one day at a time. You ate the cupcakes. I ate the brownie. We can't pity ourselves. We made this choice to be healthier. We will have slip ups. But overall we are doing well. Hugs!

    Crystal Light Saved My Life

Bariatric advantage has a chewable iron and calcium citrate. Both very tasty but pricey. I take the iron but alternate the calcium with citracle chewables. I know they are carbonate but money is a bit right right now. Oh and my surgeon is fine with gummies.

    Oh, My Achin Tailbone

My BF has surgery to help with her back pain and it's gotten worse esp in the tailbone area. She uses a plastic padded lumbar seat QVC sells. She says it helps a lot.
  9. Anyone try this yet? It is getting good reviews online.
  10. When I bumped up to 800 calories I dropped four pounds. You have to shake it up or your body gets used to a number. I'm trying to stay under 700 for two days then ill jump back up. Seems to be working. I'm a slow loser so I have to do all I can. Good luck
  11. It's the pain meds. I had them too plus huge hives around the incisions since its an area of weakness. I didn't have strips just a little glue. Def the pain meds. I was told to take Benedryl. It really help. What sucked was I had them a while after I quit taking them. Grrr

    Embarrassing ?

I was the same way. I slept with a hot water bottle on my tummy and that seemed to move it along. Good luck
  16. Im so sorry you got sick!! I have no problem paying full price in a restaurant if I can take it home and eat it later. A buffet would tick me off.

    So disappointed!

In in the same boat. I can eat almost anything. I also eat more then most at two months. My fitness pal is the only way I keep from picking all day. I'm worm2872 on there.
  24. I can eat it all. But tuna and scrambled eggs just are not a favorite. I can keep them down but just feel weird. Like applesauce. I can eat it but don't like the feeling. Not worth it.
  25. I wasn't told to worry about calories until reg food stage. They want me between 700-900 calories.
