9 Weeks out and I am already hungry?!? Really?
worm2872 replied to worm2872's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I'm not alone. Thanks sigh lol -
LOL I was just thinking this. And then there are the dogs. They all love my doggy bags. I will say I had this problem more at the beginning trying to figure out what the heck to eat. Now, I can eat all the yogurt so there is less waste.

ALL THINGS IN MODERATION!!! Yes, one is better than four slices! lol We all need to learn to live a normal life and a little cheat now and then does not hurt.

You have made it so far! The waiting is the hard part. Once you are approved (and you will be!) time will FLY!!! Good luck to you!

I haven't gone 'hog wild" but I will taste or take a chuck of about anything. However, Hubby and I went to Applebee's the other day. I ate way too many chips and salsa. I felt like crap for at least two hours. Thank goodness I just got soup with it or I would have been in bad shape. But the salt was soooo good. Darn PMS!

YEA Congrats!! That's a major milestone. Just think how big a 25 pound turkey is!!! -
Jenn, Well said and I am soooo happy for you! Congrats on the progress you have made in your journey. You should be so proud!!!

I had one from pain meds. It can show up even after you stop taking them since they are still in your system. I was told I could take benedryl but I would call your Dr ASAP to be safe. It could be from something else. Hope it goes away soon.

New to this Gastric bypass on march 6
worm2872 replied to Shethinksthin's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome Ladies!!! And I agree with MalyssaSue, I am also two months out and I think it was a great decision. My advice is take it day by day. The hardest thing to overcome is wanting to rush everything: the weight loss, the food we eat, how fast can we get back to daily life, etc. This is a life changing process and it takes time for our bodies and our minds to adjust. Also, try to remember this is YOUR journey. I struggle with this all the time. I can't compare me to others since we are all on different paths but all hope to reach the same goal to be healthy. We are all here for you so never hesitate to ask a question or reach out for support. The great folks here have brought me in off a "ledge" a few times. Good luck! -
You are still healing and your nerves are not 'working' yet. You both sound like you are on the right track. Measure and you will be fine. Eventually, the full feeling will start with the healing process. I rem the first time I had bowl of chicken soup and felt it. I was about two weeks out. Good luck to you both.

When did you start your protein drinks
worm2872 replied to copmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I started Protein shakes week two but all drs. are different so check. During the clear liquid phase I was doing unjury chicken broth & strawberry drink for protein & liquid. TLP: Most Dr. don't recommend fruit for a while. I think I could add it at the pureed/soft phase. I went really slow because of the sugar and dumping risk. I still eat very little of it. Good luck -
SIX HOURS!!! WOW The car killed me after surgery. I was pretty ok otherwise but the car just made me feel awful. I was off pain meds for a week but at my two week appointment I needed them again. Good Luck to you! It will get better.

worm2872 replied to crstalww's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ill have to check out Wii. I've been meaning too. Thanks I've been feeling like crap at night too. I'm thinking over doing it at dinner. Not the amount do much but dinner is my main meal and not a shake or lunch meat and cheese or garden burger type thing. Maybe look at your good log??? -
Oh I can eat it there's just never really room if I try to get all of my protein in. I can eat almost anything which makes it hard too. So far no dumping. Which is good and bad.

Please flog me with brownies!! LOL Rem. the floggings will continue until morale improves!

November 2012 Members Post Op
worm2872 replied to crstalww's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
50 calories a day? Did you mean that? Oh my. Hugs!! And I may add another shake. At least I'm not the only one hungry. -
Good grief I hope no one ever took a post of mine like that. I am surely no expert. I screw up Dailey. However I saw a post yesterday from a person who was eating a "no no" item. I was do mad because this same person ripped another member a new bum for eating almost the same item about a month ago. I was furious but I will not argue with people. We all struggle. We all have different plans. I'm allowed fruit and whole grain toast in small amounts after Protein. Some are not. I ate a piece of brownie yesterday. Another member ate a cupcake. No judgement please. We all have bad days. We need to support and encourage. Ok I'm done.. :-)

You look amazing!! What a great loss. You must be soooo proud!!! Congrats

how long until you can travel?
worm2872 replied to erin0929's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't know about travel insurance but I just did two back to back trips to Harrisburg for work (in the car for over four hours each way) and I'm two months post op. I'd have no issues with a plane right now either. -
Got my insurance letter..
