    Coffee Drinkers

This is my one vice. I do drink it. I take my Prilosec after it for the acid then drink some extra water.
  4. It does get better. I would eat one item at a time. I found then and even now mixing foods makes me feel off or slightly nauseated. But each week it gets easier. Hang in there :-)

    Why do i torture myself

You can do it ladies! There will be chewing ahead! :-)
  6. Whoo hoo! Congrats. Welcome to your new life.
  7. My stomach will get this way. I found that if I keep it really 'oiled up' it seems to be better. I have been using Palmer's stretch mark oil (the stuff for scars and when you are pregnant) on my stomach and it seems to be helping. It breaks out my arms and back so I use just regular lotion. I think Aveeno and Gold Bond has an anti-itch cream. This may help too.
  8. hope all is well today! It is time for the new you!!!
  9. Did blood work today. I have my 3rd post op appointment Wednesday. I guess I will see if if the vitiamins are working.

  10. I am trying to get more protein and biotin as well. I am a Wen girl and that seems to be helping but my hair is long. I am going to cut a few inches off to make it look fuller.
  11. Good for you! I had some stuff from 2011. I had lost some and then gained it back (hence the RNY). but I am now almost out of those pants. In about 20 pounds, I am seriously in trouble.

    I need some support

Oh Tonya, I am so sorry to hear this. I know how awful you must feel. I know there are others on the board that are struggling or have had similar issues and maybe able to help you. All I can offer is a hug right now and hope you get this fixed. Are there other doctors you maybe able to try?

    Newbie

HI!! and Welcome! This can be a long and scary process but you have come to the right place. We are here to support you! I was terrified and the beginning as well but I found the more I research and knew the good and the bad, the better is it was. I had never even had a surgery before or been in the hospital so everything was new. I made it and so can you!! Never hesitate to reach out with a question or suporrt. This group has reeled me back in a few times. :-) Good luck on your journey!

    Only hours away.

Wishing you all the best! It is a long road but you will be fine. Your daughter will be fine too. There maybe a little 'rejection' at the begining but just think about the wonderful new lif you will have with her. Let us know how you are doing!!! CONGRATS
  15. Mine was OK with it but I sent hubby home. I would have been worried about him plus with the pain meds you don't really care. LOL
  16. You will be fine! And they will approve you! (Fingers crossed) I only told one person at work and I am the HR person. :-) I'm about 11 weeks out and a few people have noticed my weight loss but only one (that I know of) wondered if I had surgery. I just told everyone I was having surgery. So, so far so good. No one really pushed the issue, even my boss has not asked. But I am sure that will change when they see me the end of March! Good luck to you!
  17. I am 11 weeks out and I don't have a lot of gas. I did right after surgery from the air they pump into you. That lasts a week or so. However, I do have issues with constipation. I am fine with stool softners and milk of magnesia about 2-3 times per week. It is partly because of the iron and the lack of fruits and veggies. Once your diet evens out these issues seem to go away. Me BF had RNY about 2 years ago and was fine a few months out. Good luck.
  18. OH The clothes! Mine are literally crawling up the wall in my spare bedroom. I've only lost 50 but I was wearing some pants from when I was heavier so those went the day of surgery. I am so happy to be down a few sizes but at the same time I am sick about the money. Been trying to get stuff on super clearance. I can't do thrift. Bedbug scare me. I travel a lot for work and I see how prevalent they are. eeeewwww

    Twisted intestine

Same here. Mine was twisted with a staple and was completely blocked off. I could not keep anything down. It was HORRIBLE. You feel like you are going to die and well, you actually can. Had to have ER surgery on day five. However, this is really rare. So I was told. Once they fixed it, I was fine.

    Kinda worried :(

I had that too at two weeks. You might have just pulled something a bit. See how you are in the morning. Hope you feel better. We forget we are still healing. I've been "pinching" lately.

    Is it okay..

Unjury plain doesn't like heat it clumps. But the value of the protein is ok.
  22. Mine was about five days too I slept with a hot water bottle on my lower stomach and that seemed to work.
  23. Kat, I've been there. It will be ok! God opens new doors for us. :-). Prayers and hugs!
  24. This was very helpful for me. We all need to stick together. We can do this!!! :-).
  25. Well you are Peach! I guess us mid November gals are ok??? At least we are still losing. Maybe it was that week. Lol.
