FFNC, I can't believe how close our stats are. You are taller then me (I can tell by the BMI) but wow. I started out at 275 - 262.5 DOS 11/19 - and today 222. BTW, I love your picture! -

OK, saw the Dr. yesterday. At this point about a 1/2 cup of food is where we need to be at and she said not to push it for more at this point (I wouldn't but good to know). She also said that averaging 2 to 2.5 pounds per week at this point is pretty normal. I was not thrilled to hear that but then she said in a lot of cases the weight loss can pick up around three to four months out. Weird. I guess your body adjusts again. So, I guess we are all doing pretty well and COME ON MONTH THREE!! LOL -
Sore after surgery?

I was fine with stairs and I lived in my lazy boy. Hubby was home for the first two days and I was ok after that. Good luck. :-) -

It will be. Hang In there. The first few weeks are rough and then it starts to get easier. We will always struggle but it really does help. Good luck to you. Feel free to vent here to us. We understand and maybe able to help you. :-)

Congrats. It wi be here before you know it.

You'll be ok. Rem your nerves are not really there to tell you that you are full but four mini ravioli should be ok. It happens. Just brush yourself off and move on. :-)

Some people need smacked. Period. You have done amazingly well. I know it's hard but try to ignore her. This is a new life not a race and I know you know that. You will be way better off then her in the long run. Who brags about eating without puking. Gag. -
I do the same thing. I'm ten weeks out and just hit 40 pounds. But I have been pretty steady so that's a blessing. You are doing well so far. The stall at two to three weeks out is pretty normal. You body has been so shocked it rebells for a while. It's hard for us to not compare ourselves to others but we each have our own journey. Just follow drs orders and you will be fine. And we are here for you. Good luck!!
-
Jess, you look great. Sucks about the hair though. Hope it stops soon. One of these days I will post up.
-
You will be fine, well at least I think so. I was told the pre-op diet was mainly for fatty liver. Your liver is ok and you lost the weight you needed to so I cannot see an issue. I didn't even have one and no issues caused by diet. Good luck

I am ten weeks out and have a cast iron stomach for the most part. I will get a little queasy but that's it. About a week or so ago I deliberately ate 1/2 of a huge oatmeal whoopie pie/gob and NOTHINIG! I was hoping that much sugar would trigger dumping. I am lucky but want the that fear since sugar is my weakness. Nope. BUT I did get extremely tired/fatigued the next day. I passed it off until I had a little too much sugar the other day and had mild fatigue the following day. Weird but it helps since I don't want to feel like crap.

Sylvia, You are not alone. My exercise sucks. I WISH I had the motivation to zumba everyday for an hour like I see people on MFP. Sigh... I do the best that I can and I am getting better! baby steps But that's why I won't up my calories unless I get in exercise that day. There has to be a balance so my body doesn't freak out. It has a habit of doing that. I knew the exercise would be the hardest part of my journey. Just keep at it. -
Frustration and depression....
worm2872 replied to kellbell5's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Kell, It is so hard. I know I have been there. But don't give up. For this reason is why we are on this journey. My scale would go down five then back up four. I was so depressed. Just keep doing what you are doing. Keep trying to up your protein, it really does help. This is a long journey and you just need to take it day by day. Feel free to vent, yell and scream to us if needed. We are here for you. Just keep going. You will be so happy you did! -
Hi! and Welcome! Yes, the waiting will drive you a bit nuts but it is so worth it. This is the best place for support and advice. I wish you the best of luck and if you ever need anything or just support, don't hesitate to reach out! Good luck to you!

I am ten weeks and I'm battling to hit 40 since surgery. I'm almost there. I have a meeting with my Dr tomorrow so I will see if I get any advice. I know they want me at about 900 calories a day and 70 grams of protein. When I get the protein in I seem to lose. My calories are around 750. If I can get in more exercise I'll up my calories. -
Yes, there is not one near me either. I have a treadmill at home. I need to get a TV or a tablet so I can watch tv. I get so bored.

Wondering how many days/weeks you will need to feel like getting out of the house
worm2872 replied to vachick64's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My first outing was back to the hospital but that's a different story. UGH So after that I think I went to the grocery store about a week after my second surgery. Felt pretty good just got tired. Just be really CAREFUL and don't over do it! When I went to my first Dr. appointment I reinjured my self getting out of the car and good grief did it hurt.
