  2. In the last 4-5 days, my legs have been crampy and achy - like when you have the flu, but enough that it wakes me up at night. Tylenol helps a little, but neither exercise nor rest makes any difference. My mom suggested that I may be deficient in Potassium or Magnesium... Has anyone heard of this? I picked up supplements of both and started them today, so we'll see if that makes a difference... Thoughts? Suggestions? 8.5 months post-op Down 118 pounds
  3. Today, 1/17, is my six month surg-aversary. Including my pre-op loss of 13 pounds, I'm down a grand total of 105 pounds. From 373 to 268! Yes, I have a ways to go yet - my goal is 175 - but for the first time in many, many years that seems attainable! I am so thankful!
  4. I am almost 15 weeks out from surgery and have now lost 75 pounds! I was so excited to weigh today and look down to see that my weight now starts with a 2 instead of a 3! I just want to shout it from the rooftops!

  6. Saw the surgeon today for the first time since my surgery on the 17th. He is very pleased, I am healing well, and I'm down 16 pounds! Add my pre-op loss and it's 29 pounds gone! I am just so excited!

  8. Hi, everyone! My name's Erica and I am 6 days post-op. I feel pretty good. I am a married, homeschooling mom and writer. I was an average kid and a thin teenager, but things got out of whack when I had a Norplant placed just before I was married 15 years ago and I've been steadily gaining ever since. Finally, at 373 pounds and a BMI of 53.5, enough was enough. I lost 13 pounds on my pre-op diet and go back to my surgeon on Thursday to see what I've lost since last Tuesday. The post-op diet is going pretty well; I start pureed foods tomorrow. The hardest part for me, so far, has been getting enough Water, but I'm getting better.
