Metformin not only helps stimulate the pancreas to do its job which will stop the weight gain. It is also used to stimulate ovulation for those trying to get pregnant. I had to stop taking it pre op because my sugars were going too low. It is originally intended for.diabetes, the perk of helping infertility was a bonus that blessed my life. I have noticed that I am losing slower than non pcos wls patients, I don't think it has anything to do with the metformin, I think it is the pcos. I'm just hoping with pcos that the more I lose the better things will get. This surgery was supposed to cure it (according to my surgeon). I can remember when I was 16 I.was skinny as a stick and I still had issues. My ovaries hurt so bad and my period was so erratic. I couldn't do bc cuz pill makes me psycho. New Life Started 07/24/12

I go through phases. I've had trouble with vomiting and for some reason my gag reflex has gone psycho. So, once I vomit I dry heave for literally hours. It is exhausting so if I have a bad puuch day which here lately is every freakin day, I have zero energy for sex. Any other day I'm like a cat in heat lol. New Life Started 07/24/12

If you are recently post op you will bruise easier because of the blood thinners. Further out, you may not be getting your Iron in. New Life Started 07/24/12

I am 2 months out. I handled wine fine. I will say I went from getting buzzed off of 3 glasses to drunk as a skunk off of 1/2 glass. I would try at home first. New Life Started 07/24/12

My 7 year old is emotionally disabled. She has disruptive behavior disorder. She's extremely smart and creative, she can be a sweetheart when she wants. Most of the time she chooses to be pissed at the world for no reason whatsoever. She literally sits and thinks of ways to hurt peoples feelings. She hit dead on with me today. She had to draw a family picture today. 6 stick people with minimal detail. Then me. Compared to the others I am a giant. I have huge balloon hands and each hand has huge balloon fingers. She handed it to me, I smiled and said "that's cute" she said, "you really are that fat you know." Before my surgery she never commented on my size, now she tells me atleast 3 times a day how fat I am. She's 7. 7! 7 year olds are supposed to be sweet and innocent, not malicious and conniving. Nobody has ever been mean or insulting to her. How did she get this way? Even as a baby she was impossible to make happy. She is in counseling but I just don't know what to do. I'm at my wits end with her. It's ridiculous that I have to guard myself against my 7 year old because she loves to and is very good at hurting people's feelings. She's so freaking smart, I just wish she used her abilities more positively. She's nice and sweet when I'm doing to please her but the second I slip she immediately goes for the kill shot. Google liquid Protein. I haven't bought any but I'm gonna look into it. My aunt told me about them. She used them after her bypass. I guess they're protein shots with like 50 mg of protein per shot. New Life Started 07/24/12
