Plateau is normal for 6 weeks out. Your body is just adjusting. I know it is hard, but be patient, eat right, drink lots, and exercise. You will be losing like crazy soon:) surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 193

Your welcome! Sorry kerri-ann I didn't see your post, otherwise I would have givin the info sooner. If you Google restless leg syndrome or restless ARM syndrome it gives many reasons for it but a few of the reasons were various Vitamin deficiencies. If I remember right, Calcium and magnesium and Iron were a few of them. I just made sure to take my 2 Multivitamins, 3 calciums, iron, and b-12 and have been fine ever since. I caught it right away though so if it has been going on for awhile it might take a week or two to build them up again. Good luck! surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 209

I had a prob with restless legs and arms. Turns out it was Vitamin deficiency. I hadn't been taking all of my Vitamins because they were bothering my stomach. Since I found that out I have not missed a single vitamin. It was not fun, it hurt and I had a hard time sleeping. Haven't had a problem since I started being faithful on the vitamins. surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 209

Jay robb's vanilla is awesome, especially with a teaspoon of vanilla extract (we can have vanilla extract). If you put it in the freezer for a half an hour or so it tastes just like a vanilla icecream shake! surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 209

Jay robb has excellent whey Protein shake powder. It doesn't have any aftertaste and is not gritty. There are tons of different flavors. Highly recommend! surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 209

Friday Weigh-In!
luvlife replied to KevinsBabyGirl85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A month and a half would be frustrating! Just keep doing what u r doing, it will come off eventually:) sometimes it works to change up your diet for a couple of days, maybe add a few extra calories and change the makeup of the calories (more good fat or + or - protein). Another thing that helped me during my last stall was to work out harder than I thought possible for longer than I thought possible one day (i had a physical fitness assessment for work so I had to do well). I hurt all over the next day, but I lost 4 pounds and broke my stall! Another thing, are your bm's regular? Gross, I know, but I have not lost anything this last 1.5 weeks becuz I haven't had a bm. Miralax works pretty well, but it takes a few days. Just trying to think of anything that could help. surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 209 -
Head hunger is a hard one. You have to find the best way for you. I just remind myself how I got here. I know I don't want to go back to tthe way I was, so I try to find something else to do or eat. It is hard when you are in liquids. But it does get easier. I don't think fruit is ok yet, but check with your Dr. Take a walk or exercise when the head hunger hits. Your nutritionist would be an excellent resource or search this forum. There are tons of ideas here. Good luck! surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 209

You can add vanilla extract to them. I add 1 teaspoon to my vanilla shake and it tastes awesome. Just like a real vanilla shake. surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 209 -

I am not sure, but I think grits are high in carbs. I know I can't have anything with total carbs over 10 per serving. When did u have your surgery? surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 209 -
Weight At A Stand Still
luvlife replied to NurseTAB's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There will be many stalls, try not to get too frustrated. It doesn't mean this isn't the answer.... The stall will break. I was in a stall for almost 3 weeks in the beginning but then it broke and I started losing a pound a day. Sometimes it helps to change up your diet and exercise for a few days. Eat a few more calories and exercise with more intensity. One of my stalls broke when I did a physical fitness assessment for work (had to push myself really hard). The next day I lost 4 pounds. Your body is still healing and might be in starvation mode. Just be patient and try to stay away from the scales for awhile. Good luck! surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 209 -

I would wait till tomorrow and call the doc back. U could try googling it to see if there is an answer, but u can't trust everything on the internet.... surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 209

Definitely talk to your doc. That is kind of early to fly. But maybe with compression hose? You will want to clear that with your surgeon to make sure it is safe. surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 209

Surgery Was 26 Sept And Still Much Pain!
luvlife replied to Less is Best!'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't even think I can eat 4 oz. Yet and I am almost 3 months out!slow down girl...lol. definitely take it slow. Only eat what makes u feel satisfied and eat slow so your body can have time to process it. Don't force the meals and listen to your body. Like DL said, call your doc if u r still in pain. He/she can rule anything bad out. Good luck. surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 209 -
I definitely experienced this. To the point that I didn't lay down for the first two weeks. I slept in the reclined. This is very normal, it will get better. It took me approx 2-3 weeks, but it got better. Just hang in there! surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight 210
