luvlife replied to lilbee's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome to the group! You will not fail. Just remember to follow drs orders and that it is okay to indulge responsibly every once and awhile but wait till your on solid foods. It is a lot easier when u r never hungry. Water and Protein are the most important. For the first week or so it is more important to make sure u focus on water intake and walking. Good luck on your surgery! Let us know how it goes. surgeversary 7/24/12
highest weight 267
surgery weight 262
current weight 220 -
Yes, I left that part out. I did take a picture of the scale, though I didn't think to take it with the newspaper. That is a good idea! surgeversary 7/24/12
highest weight 267
surgery weight 262
current weight 220

I had to pay 900 upfront. The rest is on a payment plan. Call your surgeons office, they should be able to tell u how much. surgeversary 7/24/12
highest weight 267
surgery weight 262
current weight 220

I was in the same dillema. Go to your weigh in tomorrow and explain that you met your goal this morning, but with Water weight it no longer shows it. I did that and they let me do a last weigh in the day of my pre op appt. No guarantees, but it worked for me. surgeversary 7/24/12
highest weight 267
surgery weight 262
current weight 220

Craving Junk Food..any Advice Would Help Me.
luvlife replied to jgarcia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Anytime. I will try and think of some other snacks to munch on. For some reason right now my mind is blank. My surgery was on 7/24/12 so we are at about the same place. -
Jay robb protein shakes are awesome. I have had both strawberry and vanilla. The vanilla, if you add a teaspoon of vanilla extract (ok for us), tastes just like a vanilla shake. Had my non rny friend try a drink and she said it tastes just like homeade vanilla icecream. I mix it with milk.

Craving Junk Food..any Advice Would Help Me.

It is going to be hard, but u have to remember what got us in this mess to begin with. Of course we are not going to eat perfect everyday of the year, so it is ok to indulge responsibly every once and a while. But if you must graze, find something healthy to graze on. I cut up cucumber slices and eat one or two if I feel the need to snack. Or get some string cheese. Before u eat something u r not supposed to ask yourself Am I really hungry or is thus just head hunger? Then try a healthy snack. Just remember this is a lifestyle change. I know you can do this! -
Welcome! Every one here is good for advice. This is a great resource. Good luck on your upcoming surgery. Let us know how it goes!

This is from your other post.

I agree. Call your Dr. Can u keep anything down? Have u tried to have the water room temperature? Some people can't do cold water until later.

I second that. You are NOT alone!

I think the back ache is fairly normal. I had it too and did some research online. The black stool could mean a bleed somewhere. I would get it checked out. Or at least call the Dr.

What is your user name? -
You sound like you deserve better than that. If the marriage isn't important enough for counseling..... Anyways, hang in there. When is your surgery scheduled for?
-
Wow. I can see how you would feel that. I am no marriage guru, but it sounds like time for counseling or time to free yourself from your husband. You can't let him talk to you like that! Regardless of what he said, have the surgery. You will be so happy with yourself. I hope you have others that will support you. If not we will be here for you. Hang in there girl.

Congrats! Keep it up:)
