Hi everyone, I'm seeking advice, new friends, support groups, im in the Houston area. My surgery is in 4 days and I'm excited, scared, and nervous. I'm so happy I found this forum, feel free to give me any advice:)

Welcome, Nmendi63! I ended up having my surgery Aug, 17, 2012. I weighed 250 at time of surgery, today I'm 218! It definitely haven't been easy, but I'm determined to reach my goal so I work out every other day and focus on protein and meeting my water intake:=) how is your progress? I have to figure out how to post progress pics side by side. -

Yes, I was so upset, well I found a new surgeon and he feels that I'm perfect for the bypass:) I'm scheduling today:) I have hope again! -

So upset guys:( At the last minute my surgeon decided he is more comfortable doing the sleeve, but my insurance didn't approve the sleeve only the bypass and lapband,. My surgeon feels I should weigh more, I'm 5ft2 250, Now I have to find a new surgeon, at least I don't have to do everything over since I'm already approved, my surgery was scheduled for tomorrow and he waited to yesterday to change me to the sleeve, I'm so bummed out:( -
