Wps2 replied to kauaigirl808's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Watermelon was always my favorite fruit. But it makes me throw up now. It gets stuck or something no matter how much I chew it. -

Generic Answer Warning**** Honestly everyone body is different, that answer is usually best given by your surgeon and nutritionist. Also heavily depends on your diet, some people have the surgery and don't follow the diet. They don't consume the recommended Protein or don't keep up with their supplements. It's so many factors that it can be impossible to come up with an expected weight loss. I am sure your doctors go based on your medical history, genetics, eating habits etc... To give a suggestion for your expected weight loss.

I did about 2 weeks after. I didn't have a problem. I just drank water before each flight so I didn't have any problems just in case!

This is what I drink twice a day. 8oz gives me 44g of protein... It's good and no chalky after taste. Got it at GNC. This is what was recommended to me when I let them know I had surgery. I didn't do protein shakes after surgery cause it just felt too thick and I'd gag but since I returned to it 2x a day I been losing like crazy!!

My dad had the sleeve and in 5 months in he began to gain weight. Got right back into bad eating habits. He lost 50/60 pounds in 4 months gained 15/20lbs in the 5th month. So to me and knowing myself I knew I'd have the same problem.. I needed something that would HELP me keep my self accountable. I know a couple years down the road the restrictions my pouch give me now will be more lenient BUT I believe the habits I am creating now will help me throughout my life. Don't get me wrong I have seen the sleeve work for a lot of people. I just also read and seen the weight loss is not be as sustainable as a RNY procedure.

U are looking mighty FINE!! Congrats on the weight loss so far!

I get that all the time now when I get up too fast or bend over and swing up too quick. Never ever felt light headed as well before this surgery. My blood pressure has always been ok even before surgery so I know it's not that. I take iron chewable just as a preventative measure because that has always been fine. I am 2 months out, it's just been happening for the past 3 weeks.

Does anyone reside in Texas? Or more so the DFW area? Just curious, but also want to find a workout/encouraging partner!!

Your very valuable! Don't ever think your not! I read so often how you encourage people on here! You make a difference in people lives! Just remember he never puts you through anything you can't handle! Stay positive even when it feels impossible!
