For me, and I'm only 5-1/2 months out, I never feel the "same" full that I felt pre-op. Do I get full? Yes, without a doubt...but what I don't have is the guilt that I ate waaaaay too much of a food that is waaaaaaaay bad for me. -

I work a desk job...managing an office. My surgery was on a Friday, and I was back in my office on Tuesday. -
I'm five months post op and I've thrown up no more than 6 or 7 times...for me, I know it's coming because my mouth gets all watery and spitty...then when it comes out...TMI alert...it's slow, not forceful Nd not at all projectile. Hope that helps.

I never gave up my straws!! I have never had a problem with gas, so I told them it just wasn't a concession I needed to make. They said as long as I'm getting all my Water, and I'm not having trouble with air, I was good to keep my straws!! -

So I've finally lost enough to need new clothes (77#!). I was in Old Navy yesterday and found myself trying on items in sizes that pre-op Sarah would have tried on, ie XXL dresses...of course they swallowed me up (insert dressing room happy dance here!), but I couldn't bring myself to even grab the Large off the rack since, "There's no way I could be a Large!" I ended up leaving without a dress at all!! How did y'all get over this?? -
Luckily I can eat any fruit...I'm five months post op.

Marla, I always eat off the kids' menu. Chili's is the best bc you get 4oz grilled chicken and steamed broccoli for under $5!! I've never been out of the country, but you have a great idea there with seafood.

Annav, you are doing FINE! Everyone's journey is different. As long as you're getting your water and protein and vitamins you're good! I'm almost 5 months out, down 75#...that's an average of 4# a week.

Sorry to hear that sjane...My thoughts are it was the vitamins wreaking havoc on your pouch, not the water. I know vitamins for me on an empty stomach are a no no! Good luck!! -

My mom awards me at every 25 pounds...yes, my mom...yes, I'm 33!! Usually with some sort of salon service...highlights, spa day, etc. I LOVE the Pandora idea...I have 3 pesky pounds to my 75# goal!! -

Surely it's fine. We read these things as if we are fighting for us (since we ARE). Tge drs office just puts what's necessary for the insurance companies to approve. The insurance company is just looking for the words, not the best, most convincing speech. Good luck!! -
