I have had soft shells twice. Twice they came up...ugh...sorry. I'm six weeks post op, and there's no way I'm up for a third attempt!! I'll stick with just the inside!!

I had surgery on a Friday and was back in my office Tuesday. You're smart to get the shopping/wrapping part done early as that's draining on a good day!! Praying your recovery is speedy and free of complications!!

Friday I will be five weeks post bop banded RNY...today for lunch I ate two oz of grilled chicken breast. I have had this multiple times with no issues...about 25 minutes after I ate, I got so cold that my body was shaking, my fingers were numb, my lips were blueish, and I couldn't seem to catch my breath. I was over at a friend's house where before my meal, the house felt very warm to me. She had it on 77*!! I took the kids home about 10-15 minutes after this episode started. I rode the entire ride home (15 mins) with the seat warmer on and the heat blowing 90*. I finally caught my breath and was getting feeling back in my fingers when I got home. I immediately got into the hot bath where I stayed about an hour (Hubby is home.). I never had pain in my stomach so what happened? ANY input would be valued!!!

Really? I always associated dumping with sweats, clammy skin, and eating sweets. Hmmm...

I'm one month out today!! Surgaversary 10/05/12!! I can eat anything. There are two items on my NO BUENO list: diet lemonade and soft tortilla shells. I'm down 32.6 as of this morning! So grateful for this blessing!

I ate shrimp with veggies and the inside of one pot sticker. It sat ok. No rice though.

I'm fine with bread and toast, but soft tortillas make me throw up.

I had surgery on a Friday and was back in the office on Tuesday.

Had my one week post op checkup today. Doc said I look amazing, and had he not done the surgery he never would have known I had surgery much less banded RNY. I'm down 23lbs from my hospital high and can't wait to see this journey unfold.

I swallow two big Zegerid capsules every night. I'm 5 days post op...should I be concerned??

I'm only having to do three days of a liquid diet before my surgery. I just want to take a second and let those of you who are doing two weeks or FOUR weeks that you have been prayed for today!! Your strength has been admired!!

Friday seems so long ago!! I've been good about getting in my protein and water...zero complications, praise God! I can't wait to get past this initial recovery!!! Hope everyone is managing well!

No one has mentioned the pupil dilation! I am wondering if I'm the only one here. I had my surgery on Friday. Saturday, both were totally dilated. Sunday they were both dilated, and today, they are two different sizes. It's making focus almost impossible!! Anyone have any insight?!

Surgery went well, surprisingly and thankfully minimal pain...only gas pain under my collar bones was truly painful. Was discharged from the hospital this evening. Thanks for the well wishes!!!

My surgery is Friday, and I have not told my children. They are six and three. I'm not sure what to say exactly to my son who is six is a worry wart. I do not want him to be overly concerned, but I think I need to mention something. What should I say?!?!

I briefly introduced the idea to Alex and Laura tonight. I told him that I was going to the dr, but that I'm not sick. I feel good, but I need help to lose weight. He was very receptive and asked if we should go back to the gym. I let it go for tonight, but I plan to talk more as the week goes on...surgery is Friday.

I was thinking that this morning getting ready for church...I won't have to squeeze into something and look like a busted can of biscuits this winter!! That is reason enough to be excited!!!

Thank you for the heads up! I have to wash daily or my hair gets really greasy!
