I'm almost down 50 pounds guys! Ahhhhh! It's so crazy to believe a little over 2 months ago I was over 300lbs and now I'm in the 250s. Everything is much easier to do lol
-
Hey guys! How often post op do you see your bari doctors? I've seen mine once and I had my surgery 8/5. I'm thinking about switching doctors though, the place I went through is 2 hours away and there's a less expensive dr in town. Also at time of surgery I was 304 and I'm down to 260 as of today went from a size 28 to a 18 and a 3x to a XL. Definitely feels surreal. Congrats on everyone's loss! It's still hard to process that I'm post op now lol. Drinking and getting protein in is still hard but I so as much as I can to get everything in

Sooo I had an amazing dream last night. I was at six flags with my boyfriend and we rode every ride and were there all day and had so much fun. Oh how I can't wait for next year when this can happen...

Since surgery I have lost 26 pounds. Surgery date was August 5th
-
I was a bit nervous about it but it was nice that it went well. I also did whole wheat toast today and it was fine. I haven't had any problems with getting food in yet. I'm 5 weeks out of surgery right now and my doctor said that basically I can eat back to normal at 6 weeks. Yay! Lol

At time of surgery i wore a size 28 loosely. Today i took out my old pants from like 3 years ago and tried them on. They fit! Size 22s! It's only been 4 weeks and I am over the moon!

Hey all! I'm 4 weeks out now and made a pizza today and it was delicious. Whole wheat tortilla, ricotta cheese, pizza sauce, mushrooms, pepperoni and shredded cheese. Omg. I was in heaven.

I know it's early and I'm almost just 1 month out, but I fit in chairs with sides and it doesn't hurt! I can sit down in chairs at work and feel comfortable for a change. Oh I can't wait to go to six flags next year and ride all the rides.. I have been literally dreaming about it lol -

So 3 weeks out now and for the past week bf said I have stopped snoring! I am sleeping a whole lot better and actually feel rested. Didn't think it would happen this soon!

Soooo tired!!!!! Four hour shift or not, being on my feet for that amount of time Is tiring lol
-
Well I work 30 hour weeks and today since it's my first day back my boss let me work 1:30-5:30 so I'm just starting but so far not too tired lol
-
Congrats! Yeah I'm trying to get my protein in, but shakes are making me gag and can't handle it right now. So hard to get stuff in when so little can go in lol.

Well I'm back to work today. 3 weeks out as of today. Have a lot of my energy back but if I walk around a lot I tire easily. Everyone at work knows that I can't lift a lot and they all are saying they're going to help me out until I'm fully recovered. Lucky I have such a great team! 20 pounds down and doing good, not getting all protein in yet but it's still a work in progress. On soft foods or whatever I can mash in my mouth that's fine. I had a sliver of birthday cake and some carb smart low sugar ice cream for my dads birthday and it went down well. Nice to have things proportioned and I can have those things every once in a while but just a bite here or there. I can def tell a difference in my face where I've lost the weight. Can't believe I had the surgery some days, I have omg moments a lot lol I start school next week and this last year should be interesting with me dropping weight like crazy lol

It does!!! I don't understand, right before surgery he was supportive and saying he'd always be there and such. Since then he's gone full time at a job he hates so he brings work home and since I'm recovering, mostly when he gets home is at night and I'm watching tv and he's pissed I'm not cleaning the house or have dinner made for him (he hardly eats when he gets home anyways?) A week after surgery I finally got home and he was going on about cleaning the house and that since I'm home for 3 weeks that I should clean the house before I go back to work. I can't lift baskets of laundry, and standing to wash the dishes for hours on end does not agree with my body right now. He just sees me doing nothing and I have been doing little things I can handle, but I'm trying to relax and recover. All while getting used to new eating and drinking schedules. Just wish he was a bit more understanding..

So last night before bed, the boyfriend was like, so when do you start actually losing the weight? I wanted to slap him. Maybe it's the hormones. Or maybe cause I know it doesn't happen overnight and don't understand why he doesn't. So I was like I have lost 20 pounds so far and am only 2 weeks out of surgery. I then said I had 150+ pounds to lose and it will most likely be gone within the first year. Every time he finds out something that we need to do after surgery, (chew food like crazy, not use straws, not have sweets..) he just says and you couldn't just stick to a diet because..? I want to hit him every time he says it. I say the surgery gives me a tool to help me lose weight and doesn't just lose it for me. Frustrating...

Hopefully it's not a fluke but today I had some energy back! Lol walked a lot more, went to a dr appt, grocery store, and out to chilis for lunch with my grandma and sister and had some soup. Smelled awesome and worked out well. Even folding clothes and making dinner for the fam. I hope it's not just a weird thing that happens just today and I wake up tomorrow tired lol. Getting some hope of getting my life back. Down 21pounds and 15 days post op. my loose pants are not holding up anymore. Today was a great day! Hopefully everyone else is doing good, congrats on the surgeries today!

Hey guys, When did you start to feel "normal" again? I'm 2 weeks out and am sluggish. Everything makes me nauseous, taking meds make me puke sometimes and I'm always tired. My left shoulder is always in pain and I can't get comfortable ever. When do I feel like me again?!
