Post Surgery Protein
SunShyne replied to dfwtxfemme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use premier Protein shakes from costco. Taste best to me but i cant drink two a day or they given me loose bm,, so i aslo use whey protien shots that taste like melted Jello, not bad at all. I aslo just ordered the unflavored protein mix from unjury so i can add it to any regular food. I think the more alternatives you have, you will not get sick of the same ol thing and get your protein requirement in. DOS 10/10/12 -
Glad your surgery went well. First dew days is rough but it gets easier and easier each day. They took out my gall bladder at same time so im glad for that. I find that i have to chew my few REALLY good or it feels like it's stuck.

Just Got Out From The Hospital And Taking It Slow
SunShyne replied to number 7's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thanks number 7. I think it was the two premier shakes i was trying to get in causing the loose bm. Ive decided to do one shake (30 pro grms) and one super protein shot (26 pro grms) per day to avoid loose bm but still get in my protein in. -
I decided to do the rny because it resolves diabetes and the band and sleeve don't. The weight loss will of course help the diabetes but rny is the only one that changes your body hormonally regarding diabetes. Kaiser also told me that they have a 30% revision rates with the lap band and may stop doing it all together because of problems with it. I also have high blood pressure and severe sleep apnea. I also had gallstones so had gall bladder removed at same time. As far as weight. I was 221 preprogram, 206 at surgery on 10/10. I didn't qualify on weight alone but because of the contributing health factors, my insurance, Kaiser paid for it all.

Ok #7. Trying to deal with loose bowels but other than that ok. Pedialyte is helping. -
