October Surgery Dates
Clairpooh replied to RhondaWilliams's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Please be careful with dark pee. The last time my pee was dark, I ended up back in the hospital for 5 days partly because of extreme dehyration. I was so dehyrated they had to give me a PICC line because they were unable to give me a "normal" IV after 5 failed attempts. keep sipping!! Hopeful its because of the vitamins. -

Yes, I pee at least 3-4 times a day. The more I drink (sip) the more I pee. -

October Surgery Dates
Clairpooh replied to RhondaWilliams's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Update: hey everyone I am back in the hospital. This time they admitted me and I don't know how long they are keeping me. Today I feel the beat I've ever had since the surgery. The nurse even said im getting my color back. Tomorrow I have more test, they are still trying to figure out what's wrong. So far I've had an ultrasound, MRI, x-ray. On top of that they had to do a PICC Line because no one could get to another vain and my doctor wanted blood work done. Please keep me in your prays, I just want to feel normal again -

Update: So I had to go the ER today where I had my surgery because I was dehydrated and my potassium was really low. Now I'm on more meds. Also I can't eat anything because everything makes me vomit so I was told to sip all day. -

My surgery was 10/1/2012 and I am so weak. My NP to me I need to get my protein in however last night I tried cottage cheese and woke up with back pains and cramps and all I could do was cry. I want to get my required protein in so bad but i can't tolerate protein drinks anymore. Everyone says it gets easier but, WHEN? This is hell for me. -

Surgery Was 26 Sept And Still Much Pain!
Clairpooh replied to Less is Best!'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So today I realized that I can't take the nausea anymore and called my doctor complaining how bad it is for me. He wants me to eat and drink but I just can't because of the nausea. So he gave in and called in a prescription to my pharmacy. However he only gave me 12 pill . I just pray they work! -

OMG, this is my story!!! I really just drinking because the smell of just about everything makes me nauseous. Today is the first day of drinking without any pain and i think it's because of the sippy cup i use. I can't wait until it get better. The pain was very uncomfortable after eat or drinking something. -

Surgery date - 10/1/2012 Today I am actually feeling the best I've felt since before the surgery. However I am not able to drink liquid Protein shakes, Jello and broth. Luckly my NP has approved for me try yogurt, cottage cheese, and split pea Soup. Yogurt and soup is good how im still scared to try the cottage cheese. Total lost since surgery is 8 pounds. My last weigh-in was on Monday. -
I Just Want To Eat Something Allready!
Clairpooh replied to sbsmith's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Me too but that's just because I can't keep liquid Protein down anymore, I hate broth (chicken), and I can't stand Jello. By the way, tomorrow is 7 day out. -
So happy your surgery went well!
-
Hey, I am having the same exact problem. Tomorrow will be exactly 1 week and I can't keep down any liquid protein (I have a few flavors and brands that I bought and liked pre-surgery), I now hate jello (ewww) and I can't stand chicken broth anymore. I've been drinking water, some with cystal light packages and sugar free Popsicles. I am praying that at my post-op appointment tomorrow my doctor will find a reasonable solution to this, because these protein drinks are now working out for me :'(
-
Hey so happy to hear from you.... Congrats and take it easy on yourself.

Good luck tomorrow!

Congrats to everyone who had surgery this past week. Soon it will be time to start and tread in post op for all us October people

I'm sleep comfortable when sleeping on my side with pillows. The drain is normal. Some doctors use it and others don't. Its just another way to make sure I don't have any leakage.
-
My surgery was on Monday and my cycle started yesterday as scheduled (I keep track with an app). So far mine has been pretty normal to possibly a little lighter then normal. Normally my first 2-3 days are really heavy. Check with your doctor!

Meggiepoo, I've been feeling the same exact way... I didn't think about the heating pad, but I will get one when I go back out. I still have my JD drain in which is driving me crazy! Can't wait until its removed on Monday.

To see the pic you have to go to my profile and click on gallery. Just click on my pic and it should take you to my profile. Pain is not so bad now, but I'm still taking pain meds when i feel pain coming on. YES, i find it very hard to get my liquids in. I couldn't drink 16oz of liquids while in the hospital so to double that is harder. But I've been telling myself to sip sip sip.

In the hospital I was on morphine and I could only press the button every 20 mins which felt like hours when in pain. The first day was the hardest. I couldn't even think. To this second all I can remember is pain all day Monday. Now I'm on Oxycodone which has help alot since being home.
