All I have left is to meet the surgeon and set date. How long did it take everyone from surgeon to surgery? Already approved insurance wise. Thanks' date=' getting nervous and excited!![/quote']Took me a month, but it really depends on your surgeon's schedule and availability.

Wow' date=' it's finally here...the day I've been waiting for so long, that will help me to become a better, more healthy, happier me!Not too nervous yet, just excited and ready-we'll see how it changes when I get to the hospital, lol. Praying that everyone post op is recovering well, my surgery buddy is at peace, and that everything goes smoothly for us today under the care of our competent surgical teams' hands.[/quote']
GOOD LUCK and congrats!!!!! You are off to a NEW, better you!!

6 months!

I know no one can give me a for sure answer. It all depends on my insurance' date=' surgeon, and health. Just asking what you think.A few years back I went to the Dr about my weight. I was givin adipex after a failed 30 day diet plan from a nutritionist . I took it for about 40 days. Lost 20lbs. I couldn't afford it one month and ended up pregnant so that's why I didn't take it any longer.
So my question is will they look back at that and possible use that 3-4 month monitored time? Maybe reduce or not make me do it again?[/quote']
Usually the supervised diets (either 3 month or 6 month) are consecutive and "expire" after acertain amt of time!

I have noticed lots of you have to do the liquid diet. My Surgeon doesn't require anything pre-surgery. I am starting to eat very low carb almost like what i did in induction with Atkins. Again wishing all of you having surgery the best of luck!!!Consider yourself lucky!!! This is hell!

Hello all!
I'm new to this thread. My surgery date is January 15th!! I started my pre-op diet yesterday however it seems to be much different than what most ppl have to do. I'm to have a Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch , all the green veggies I want and a sensible dinner (which gives me the option of a lean Protein with a salad or a healthy choice, WW or lean cuisine meal).
YAY! We have the same surgery date!!

Hoping everything went well for today's group. A tad worried about tomorrow, my last day at work and on a liquid diet to boot! Not a bad idea to pray for everyone on my floor! Two more days for our next round, are you ready ladies?
You will do great!! 2 more days...wow!!! So excited for you!
-
So ready to get this over with.. I have to be at the hospital at 6:00 am! I've waited for this day to come my whole life! Yay! Prayers needed please
Keeping you in my thoughts...hoping for a speedy recovery!!!

Hi and welcome! My surgery is next week, so I won't be much help in the pre-op process, but I can certainly relate if you ever need to vent or ask questions. This forum is wonderful filled with great people! Good luck on your journey.
