OMG, 6 pounds overnight?

It's def right...enjoy it! Sometimes our bodies do odd things with weight loss. -
Very curious! My sister had the VSG, and I have the RNY. We were talking today about who is MORE at risk of stretching....rny patients or sleeve patients? Anyone want to guess on this one? I think it would make more sense for a pouch to stretch rather than a sleeve, but I could be wrong!

Thanks! It didn't sit well with me anyway. It gave me heartburn and caused stomach pain. Oh well!

2 weeks out. Who here has tried (and liked) refried beans?
lovealways posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi guys! I'm 2 weeks out and excited to start trying new (soft) things. So far, the only thing I've tried is eggs and some melted chedder cheese in the eggs, and all went well. I would like to try refried beans tonight with some melted shredded cheddar cheese and a dollop of plain greek yogurt. Has anyone successfully tried refried beans this early out? How much would you say I should consume at one sitting? About 1/4 to 1/2 a cup?? -
Same here EXACTLY.

I had coffee today with skim plus milk. Is caffinated coffee ok to drink? Most surgeons say no, but I'm "cheating" and having a cup today because I need the caffeine and I miss it terribly. I will only have 1 a day.

It's just so interesting to me!

Not interested in food?
lovealways replied to Sjane's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How far out are you? The only food I've tried is eggs and cottage cheese. The only thing that tastes good to me so far is eggs and egg salad. I just want salt. I don't crave sweets or carbs. -

Anyone ever get paranoid that their surgeon didn't do anything? I saw my tiny pouch on xray, and yet I'm skeptical. How crazy is that?

No energy at all. lol. I had none before surgery, and none now haha. Today I'm actually a bit dizzy, which I'm concerned about. You are still a bit sore? How are your incisions healing up?

Question? After you eat does your stomach hurt?
lovealways replied to Khuff's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I don't feel pain from eating. Sometimes I will feel pain from drinking though, which sucks. -

Possible to dump on pain meds?
lovealways replied to Jessica9190's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No problem! Maybe you are having a sensitivity to the painkillers. I would ask your doctor if you can take Tylenol instead, so you don't have to deal with the side effects of the painkillers -
2nd week post-op stall... NOW I understand how y'all feel. :-(
lovealways replied to Catgyrl68's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't exercise till 4 weeks post-op....so 2 more weeks to go. I just want to go on the elliptical (I hate walking in cold weather and walking in general) lol. -
So I just tried my first scrambled egg at 2 weeks out and loved it. My question is, is it bad I can get in 1 full egg this early out? (Minus a bite left) I notice now though that I'm pretty stuffed. My sense of fullness seems to be a little delayed lol as it was pre-op too.

Ohh, I see.
