Can we absorb soft gel supplements?
babysteps replied to Pam Peltz's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I have heard ppl Put them in their ninja blender and blend them up with their protein drinks. Not sure how well that would go over or if its the right thing to do lol. Something to ask the Nut for sure. -

babysteps posted a topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Ok hi all I'm wanting to Touch base with the light weights and revision RNY's. I myself am a lightweight and a so to be revision. Sleeve to Rny . I had the sleeve 6 months ago and only lost 35lb after 12 weeks if no weight loss and 14 weeks of no inches lost It was suggested to me to get a revision . I'm getting the RNY for its metabolic reset value and to loss the rest of my 60lbs. I was 244 the day I was sleeved and 209 today 5"6. So how was your weight loss? Did you loss slow? How many lbs a week did you loss? Are you a first time lightweight or are you a revision light weight? -

WLS take 2 Don't Want to fail again!
babysteps posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know this is post op I'm in a way post and pre op . Let me explain I was sleeved 6 months ago. In that 6 months I only lost 35 lbs that's 5.8 lbs a month. I was told I need the metabolic reset of the RNY. I'm scared that it won't work that I will be the same as the sleeve. Has anyone had a revision at a low BMI and then done okay. I was 244 the day of my sleeve and 208 today. I eat right an workout 5 days a week so I was not slacking or not following my plan. It is 80/128 oz water, 80/100 protein, 800/1100 Cals and 50 to 100 carbs I have been and am doing this but my weight stopped coming off well after 3 months. My original doctor started to avoid me and my my questions why wasn't losing I had to find a secondary surgeon. The second surgeon told me that this wasn't normal and that I should think about a revision to RNY. So I'm here looking for anyone that has thoughts and information from people who have had a revision and done alright and people with a low bmi that have done alright. Any info you can give would be helpful. -

I have the sleeve Unfortunately for me it does not work properly I will be getting a Rny sometime later this year. My sleeve was not done wrong and I had done nothing wrong. My metabolism is so shot that I need the metabolic reset of the RNY. I wish I would have just done Rny to start with would saved me a lot of money time and frustration.

Looks like I get to join you all is this revision forum. I had my sleeve 9/26/12 in the 6 months I only lost 35lb started at 244 and now I'm 209. I'm still not 100% sure I want try this all over again what if it don't work again. The reason for the revision is my doctor believes I have metabolic issues that the Rny could help take care of. I'm worried it won't be any different I was watching what I would eat very well my protein fluids were good I workout 5 days a week 90/120 mins each time. Even when I was dropped to a 600 calorie diet I lost no weight. So that's were I am now go easy in me I type like crap on this phone

I had the sleeve 6 months ago today my Doc said the words sleeve to bypass revision o.0 Now in my 6 months of the sleeve I have only lost 35lbs. I stick to my plan very well on my protein and all my calories a gallon of water a day. Workout 5 days a week 1 or 2 hours a day. Has anyone had this done? I wanted the bypass to start with but The Doc Scared my husband so bad about the bypass that I ended up doing sleeve I'm not even sure how this would help I eat so little I workout a lot get all the other stuf in I need and I only at best drop 1 or .5 lbs week. I have had every test that could be done done. Any one with info that would help a lot TY
