babysteps replied to michelecaples's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Started at a 20 I'm in a 18/16 I want to be in a size 10 dream size 8/6. -
I did the sleeve lost only 35lb in 6 1/2 months my Rny is in June the sleeve is the most painful thing I have ever done three 9 1/2lb kids Natural childbirth and my gallbladder removed in the 90's. The sleeve has a 20% Failure rate as well. I wanted the Rny to start with They say the sleeve is less invasive but if you really think about it no its not its removing 85% Of your stomach that is not reversible! The Rny if it does not work slim chance of that btw but it can Be reversed. Don't do what I did don't fall for the fad wls and then have to do this all over again do it right the first time.

How do you treat yourself?
babysteps replied to mcdoja's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hubby and I still go out but now we get one dinner and split it and we ask the staff to do that for us they do it with np. When they ask me what I want to drink I alway ask If they have Coke or Pepsi No matter what one they say I say oh what a shame I'm a diehard so-and-so fan I'll just have water they never look at me odd at all. We always say I had a late lunch lets split dinner and the staff always does it np at all . When we are out with the kids me and my two younger ones split a "big ppl dinner" it's fun for the kids saves me money and the staff this is so sweet. I was sleeved on 9/26/12 and will get a Rny in June. -

SLEEVE TO BYPASS REVISION
babysteps replied to MissLaLa05's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I will have mine in June and not worried at all we had the hardest one already and the most painful. I'm having mine coz I only have lost 35 lbs in 6 1/2 months . The risk is so low it's less then what the sleeve was So when will you be with me as a sleeve to Rny so very few of us. The sleeve is such a fad thing right now I'm sure there will be more of us down the road. -

babysteps replied to mfee08's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Fat-free refried Beans plain Greek yogurt green packet of sauce from Taco Bell blend it up it's pretty good. Rotisserie chicken thigh no skin a little bit of chicken gravy. Hormel turkey chili a little cheese. Cranberry Jell-O turkey meat dadh of chicken broth. Hope that helps I was a sleeve going to a RNY but the pureed food I think are the same just want to make sure to add that -
June Dates (class of 2013)
babysteps replied to douchewafflebear's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok June ppl lets get to know each other. I have been down this road once had the sleeve 9/26/12. I would like to share with you some of the tricks I learned. 1: Get a ninja blender Or a magic bullet It can make snowcones you just add Crystal light or Dasani water drops to the ice Blend away and eat it with a Toddler or dessert spoon . Eat as many as you like all day and night huge help. 2: Start playing around with your preop diet now test it out for a day or two see how long you can do it. I did this 60 days before I had to do mine and by the time it was for real it was a walk in the park and I did not cheat . 3: Start playing around with puréed food yep see what's good now. I did this found some good things was a lot easier and less of a struggle when it came to what do I eat it wasn't foreign or new to me because I tried it out first. Chicken breast gravy blended up. Hormel turkey chili little bit of cheese blend it. Fat-free refried beans plain Greek yogurt green sauce packet from Taco Bell little cheese blended up. 4: Start taking all of the required vitamins now. 5: Protein protein and more protein Don't buy a lot of it your taste buds will change. For the first two or three months after surgery by only sample packs or small sets of protein Again your taste buds will change. 6: Start making a walk routine now. Walk 3 times a day for 10 mins each time. By the time you are done you will have a 30 min walk in. 7: If you smoke stop smoking now this was hard for me to. Soda pop drinkers you might want to cut back coz like smoking Cold turkey Sucks. These two take some time to work out of your life . Ok that's all I have ATM I hope this will help all of us June ppl to have a leg up and do the best we can do P.s yes I know my typing sucks its this iPhone I think it hates me lol -
After my sleeve yeah I can't sleep sometimes. I hope after my RNY it will go away lol.
