    New Here!

Hello, I am from Longview Texas and I found a Dr. Querry in marshall. I am not sure what part of Texas you are in, but we are in East Texas. I also know she has a program thru CapitalOne for people who need to self-pay. I hope this information helps you.
  2. I was banded in Marshall, TX by Dr. Querry. She is about 30 or 40 minutes from Shreveport and about 21/2 hours to 3 hours from the metroplex. Where are located????/
  3. I just found out that capital one will finance "cosmetic surgery" and the band is covered under this... I had a friend that her insurance would not cover it and the cost was $17,150. She was given a brochure for capital one by the Dr.'s office and she called and withing 4 or 5 minutes she was approved. She is so excited. She said she just felt like it was kinda of like financing a car or making a car payment. She will pay about 350 or 400 for the next few years, but she said her health was worth it! Just thought I would share this information
  4. Dr. Querry in Marshall TX will follow mexican bandster and do fills. She is great. She will fill in office or under floro. She fills me in office and I am in and out in minutes. Dr. Querry 401 S. Bolivar Marshall, TX 75640 903-938-7200 www.drkathleenquerrysurgicalsolutions.com

    A Mexican Mess!!!

Here is the deal ... international law will prevent him from taking any measures against you. Not only is the amount too small, he has larger fish to fry. I tried to file suit against Andres Betencourt in January of 05. I even had dealings with a Mexican attorney. There just wasn't enough money in it for him. Andres is full of S*. My US Dr. said I was 12 hrs away from death and he would not even return her call so she could ask questions. He also told my husband, while I was having surgery, he had more money than we could ever imagine. He also stated he was untouchable in the TJ community.

    A Mexican Mess!!!

I found myself in a similar situation with Andres. I paid cash for my surgery, but I believe he was the problem and the reason I could not speak with Huacuz. The reason I wanted to know where you lived is, my doctor her in the states is awsome. She is so compassionate and understanding. I wish you could see her. She is about 4 hours from you. Just a thought.

    Anniversary - not quite 100

I may not be the one to ask because I kind of have my own program. 1 frapachinno in the morning 1 multivitiman salad and alvacado (small) for lunch tortillia chips and salsa for supper And a lot of cheese I have done this for the last eight months almost everyday. Maybe not in the same order. I did start loosing some hair, so I started drinking a protien supplement. Thank you for all the support.

    Anniversary - not quite 100

At this point, I have only one major NSV and it is that I do not eat or snack all day long any more. I have to remember to eat!!! That is the best one ever.Oh, and I went from a size 26/28 to a 14/16.
  12. I have every right to tell my story, give my comments and praise my surgeon. If I am correct Missy4Gordon, that is what you are doing! I am thankful that people use this forum for knowledge. I guess because I was told to put it to rest, I should .... When I feel like it is able to be put to rest, I will.
  13. No misunderstanding. Along with the screwed up surgery, I received screwed up information such as if you cant get liquid down, just jump up and down. Also, the stitches will disolve, don't worry about them and I will follow up on you at the hotel, no one showed up, etc. What a rip off. This is what gives Mexico and surgery procedures a bad name. Beware of the people that are paid to battle any less than perfect comments about Huacuz.
  14. Huacuz told me my stitches would disolve and not to worry with it. Well, they never did and I had to remove them myself. Just another lie from him. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Reflux/Heartburn question...

I started to have reflux especially in the late night and early morning, soon after I had a my last fill. I held out for two months before I went back and had some removed. After I had the fill removed, I have been fine since.
  16. This is what your stomach looks like when the band is improperly placed. This is what happend to me at the Molding Clinic in TJ Mexico. Dr. Huacuz was my surgeon. The band did not slip. The band was improperly placed. http://photos.yahoo.com/shannoncomer71

    Improperly Placed Band Photos

Yes, thanks for asking. I have had a wonderful experience with this placement. I just always fear the worst so I try to be very careful at all times. Sometimes, I think too careful.

    Improperly Placed Band Photos

Thank you for all the comments. I just wanted to place the photos because so many people say that anyone who has a problem with a band in Mexico is just trying to start false rumors. Thank you all.

Dr. Huacuz and Andres in TJ

I am sorry to hear of your experience. It seems that there are more than a few of us that have had issues with Dr. Huacuz and Andres Betancourt. It is such a shame that we pay for the band and then have to pay for the removal when it wasn't applied properly and then have to pay to be rebanded and they just get to keep the money and do not have to offer a refund or reband or anything. That really sucks. I guess that's the price you have to pay when you leave the US.

  21. If anyone is interested in having a lap band placed in East Texas, I would highly recommend Dr. Querry. She is in Marshall, TX. This is located about 30 minutes from Shreveport, LA and 30 minutes from Longview, TX. About 1hr 25 min from Tyler. Anyway, she placed my band 3/11/05 and I have lost 60 plus pounds and feel wonderful. She will also do fills for patients that were not banded by her. Just wanted to let everyone know about my wonderful experience.

    Just got banded on Monday

My husband and I are both banded. I did not have any of the problems that your talking about, but my husband did. He was banded on Wed. and by Friday he said he was going to call the Dr. on Monday and have it removed. I was so angry. I explained to him he needed to give his stomach time to go back to normal and not be inflammed. Well, he gripped and gripped. By Monday he was fine and happy with his banding. I hope you will be happy soon too!!!
  23. Dr. Querry is the best Dr. in the world. (my opinion of course). If you are looking for a compasionate, well trained, surgeon you will not find a better one. Dr. Querry Marshall, TX 903-938-7200 She will assist you with your surgery needs as well as your fills.
  24. Talk to Andres with a problem..... What a joke. Don't call him from the US with a problem. If you do, he just tells you to jump up and down and if that doesn't help give it a few days. Well, the few days I gave it almost cost me my life. That's how Andres deals with a problem. He tells you to wait and then will not return your calls. This is not gossip.... this is what actually happened to me.
  25. I always wish everyone the best of luck. I was very happy with my decision too, before hand. I am thankful that this type of message board exists so everyone can make informed decision.
