I've had shoulder pain for several months now. Its in both shoulders no popping just aches seems worse when laying down. Found out i have a torn ligament in my left should but no answers for the right one. Not much help but at least you know your not alone.. -
I had rny on Aug 3rd went back in the next day because of a leak. Came out with a huge open wound id post the pic but its not real pretty. From there i ended up with Fluid around my lungs. 4 chest tubes a g-tube a j-tube and abcess and a collapsed lung.i was in the hospital almost a month the first time 2 weeks the second time. Came home on feed tube got rid of it on Dec 10 and things have really gotten better i have muscle aches in my arms and shoulder still and short of breath at times. Assume its from the lung. But now that the bad stuff is over im glad i did it. I take no prescription med anymore i use to be on 8-9 no high blood pressure and most of all no diabetes that was my goal when i started this. Rny 8-3-12 sw 289lbs now 215

Question my arms ache so bad especially in the a.m after sleeping i have to take pain't med to control it and it barely helps just makes the pain managable. Its the muscle its both arms and my surgeon doesn't really tell me anything. My pc said it may be because i had so much trouble with my surgery that i was immobile for a couple month. So he set up some physical therapy that doesn't even start till the end of the month. Has anyone else had this problem? Im five months out and have lost around 80pounds

I did, my surge date was 8-3-12 and my sense of smell seemed like it got so much stronger and nothing taste as it did before. Thankfully most things are back to normal now as far as taste and smells go. I couldn't tell you about the feeling like crap because i had lots of issues after surgery so i felt like crap most of the time lol it all gets better. I remember after surgery i could taste the protein in all the protein drinks they were so gross but now everything taste normal thank god. Good luck on your journey -

I have not been on Rny in awhile but am finally feeling better. I had my surgery 8-3-12 and was the poster child for complications. Am just getting to the point where i might be glad i had it done. Im still on a feeding tube but feeling pretty good. I was in the hospital for 37 days and still had a drain for an absess and a g-tube in when i was released. I thank god that all seems to be going in the right direction now.

Thanks
-
Also my scar is from right below my breast plate to my belly button.

I had many complication Im doing better now but it was very rough for me. Im still on a 24 hour feeding tube and i haven't been back to work since the surgery Aug 3rd. However i think i was just unlucky because many people on here don't have much in the way of problems after surgery. Don't wanna scare you i do feel better now that Im through the toughest parts just went through he'll to get here

Thanks everyone. Had many complications. First a leak then and abcess then i had fluid around my lungs. And then a collapsed lung. Thank god that's all over.

Why do so many things taste so different. Things i loved before i can't stand the taste of now or even if i like some stuff it still has a slightly different taste. I was told that it would happen but still find it weird my taste buds have changed

My Dr just told me i don't have gallstones but there is a lot of sludge in my gallbladder. Its not my surgeon as i am in the hospital again only this time its in the town where i live and my surgeon is over an hour away so i havnt seen him. My.question is i get really nautious after i eat. No pain just nausea. Could the sludge cause this?
