This week has been crazy. Sat night I felt super constipated. I kept trying to use the bathroom... But nothing. So my husband and I went to a birthday party and the pain just got worst. By 1 am I was in agony. I told my husband we needed to leave and go to the er. The pain was unbearable. I get to the er and they immediately bring me to the back. I felt sick to my stomach so they gave me some medication to help with that along with pain Meds. They helped instantly but the pain came back within the hour. So every hr they were giving me Iv pain Meds they were also giving me an X-ray and a ct exam. My surgeon came to see me and told me he was going to perform surgery to see what was going on. He preformed the surgery and found some abrasions on my bowels and removed them. This all happened on Sunday. They admitted me for observation that night. My dr assured me I wouldn't be in pain. He was wrong. Monday as they were releasing me I was still in pain. When I told the dr I was in pain she said it was from the surgery and the pain Meds will help. So I reluctantly went home. Tues pain was no better even with the pain Meds. I went to see the nurse practitioner and she did more test. Today pain is worst. I am at a loss in what to do. The pain is in my stomach upper right side. Kinda in my rib. Please anyone give me advise?? Has anyone experienced this before??

I'm still in pain. Round the clock pain Meds for me. Dr said pancreatitis or gall bladder. I have a follow up appt on wed. Hopefully I'll have some answers by then

After my surgery on June 13 2012 I was crazy. First couple months were rough. Believe me it gets better. My poor husband! I would relate my issues to a drug addict detoxing from their drug of choice. It will get easier and I wish the best of luck.

I had that test years before I did the surgery. The gastro dr told me I would always test positive for it. So when I went to have the surgery they apparently test for it and was unable to schedule my surgery. I was so pissed because I was up front from the beginning about it. They knew I would test positive. I had to have my gastro dr send a letter telling my bariatric dr i was already treated for this. I finally got my date and that day changed my whole life

I had that too. I had to take antibiotics for 2 weeks. No big deal. Bad news is that they won't do surgery until u finish the antibiotic.

It is mainly my back! And on the side of my stomach. My back pain is constant but the attacks are terrible! Especially while I'm at work. I am a banker and I've had to excuse myself several times this week to throw up and have have sweats. It's embarrassing and I'm just over it. Thanks for the advise If its not the gallbladder ill definitely ask about the ulcers.

I'm on a low fat diet already and the pain is there! I had a piece of bread and I had sweats and dry heaves! I feel like I can't eat anything

Omg I have an ultra sound scheduled for thursday and I can not wait!!!! I am in soooo much pain! I have "attacks" and it is the worst feeling! How long did it take for everyone to get their gall bladder removed once the drs knew there were stones?

Has anyone had elevated platetel? What was your results!

I am 7 months out and starting yesterday my back has been killing me. It's right under my rib cage on the left side. Should I call the doctor or am I being paranoid by thinking every ache and pain is related to my surgery!????
