Hey working4shoes! I'm in Salisbury and also had Dr. Bauman - June 20th...he's excellent. Do you go to support meetings? I've been thinking about it but don't know when/where.

In my experiences yes it has changed the consistency and taste....I tried adding UN flavored to water and crystal light and it was terrible! I'm not a big fan if the milky stuff either but there are these water based drinks called isopure.....they are fruity flavors and come in a 20oz bottle - the bottle has 40g of protein....they are pretty good just kinda expensive...$4 per bottle at my Dr. office. If you come up with anything else not milky please let me know!!! Thanks and good luck!

Ok I'm not drinking or doing drugs or anything but I swear ive replaced food with reading everything on this site!! Well....this site and facebook....facebook just feeds my Christian Grey/50 shades of grey obsession. I suppose these addictions are healthier than getting high or overeating..lol!!

Welcome to the group.....congrats on the 95 lbs!

I felt this way for about 5 mins until it hit me like a ton of bricks.....wonder what they all think of me being this fat and never REALLY doing anything about it? I let everyone in on my decision and I told them it was not about having everyones approval but having their support. My family/friends/coworkers have been extremely supportive and I cant imagine going through this feeling truly alone and not having everyone else understand what was going on. I think you'd be surprised how much positive feedback people in your life will give you knowing you are trying to better your life.

50lbs is awesome no matter what your starting weight!!! You're off to a great start!

Oh yea I had not even thought of this yet!!! However I am scared to death of looking like a deflated balloon!!

I used to be so excited about someone bringing a cake or something sweet into the office (part of the reason I'm here)....but today someone brought in 3 boxes of krispy kreme donuts and id like to find out who and throw them at him/her...yes I know I'm being rediculous....just had to vent!!!!

Can you have solids yet? I've been ordering meat (steak or chicken) but can only eat a tiny bit of it. Or chili/soup would be a good option.

I've had this happen a few times (not the pain part but the saliva)...will not eat canned tuna anymore because of it....ran to the bathroom to throw up and it was just tons if saliva. It hasn't happened since I left the tuna alone. Has it happened more than once?
