don't give up that's what aetna wants you to do I did the 3 month diet and now have my band,,, How far away is conroe from Hurst? The reason I ask is because AIGB in hurst realy has getting approved thru Aetna down to an art form if you have had BMI of 40 for the last 5 years,,,
have you checked your benefit plan ,,, Aetna covered my nutrianist visits and I had only to pay for the copay ,,, I beleive you just need to find one that takes Aetna.

Hello i was banded on 8/17/07 with the new AP band and have lost 18 pounds I know becasue of the liquids, I am hungry now. What is the difference between the old band and the new band? Mushies are not cutting it:help: :help: Maybe I should have had the old band put in?

Hello kittee I have Aetna and I just had surgery with Dr. John Marsden In the DFW Area. He is the best in my books.
-
Hello everyone, I am doing great! My surgery went smooth and my Dr. Marsden hands worked art. I thought I was going to be more difficult having has three previous c- sections I was prepared for the worse. It is best described as discomfort but not pain. Milehigh how is your appeal going have you checked the status. News is MEDICARE is now covering the operation and fills no questions asked as long as your BMI is high,,,this means commercial insurance needs to follow Medicare guidelines I hope you are approved and soon. Losing this weight so fast has been amazing and I know it will not be coming off like this for long once I go to stage 2 and 3. THIS is funny I went to Boston Market at lunch and said I need 1 cup of soup broth only, when I got to work and took the top off it had fat floating on top, now keep in mind 1 month ago I would have said "oh well bottums up" Today I actually stopped and thought about what i was putting in my body:whoo:. I hope this last a long, long time.

I lost about 4 pounds preop and 14 since surgery.. Protein bullets is after you are on liquids and drinking protien your bowl movements are different, I also followed the preop pretty strict. Good luck on your surgery, the first 48 hrs are the toughest but it will get better.

Hello everyone I had my band done 8/17/07 ,, 5 small holes no bruising and I am back at work today. i have lost 18 pounds since preop diet. So far so good, the jury is still out for long term. The Crazy Ates invites all August banders to join us!
vallin replied to JudiM's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Count me in for the CRAZY ATES hello all my band date is 8/17/2007 and I am very nervous and scared. The only thing that keeps me from backing out is thinking of my future if I don't have it done,,My husband is sweet one of those men who never says anyhting about my weight, but he did say he only wants me healthy to spend the rest of my life with him. I am on my liquids now and did cheat this past weekend. Is anyone else in this boat? Should I tell My DR. about the weekend cheating and keep in mind the cheating was about 1/2 of what I would eat before?:help: -
Nygmen so sorry:omg:. Were you trying to get Aetna to approve under the 3 month multi diciplinary diet?
-
:(I am sorry to hear you got denied,, that is a bummer don't give up. Aetna denied my sister last week because of a low BMI in 2003 when she was being treated for obesity,, but all other years her BMI was 40 +. She was told that a letter from her PCP would help and that is what she appealed with. Don't give up Milehigh that is what Aetna wants you to do. I myself was approved yesturday and I am so excited, today I have started my liquid diet!!!!! :clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:
-
Approved approved I am Aproved,,,,I can't believe it!:clap2::whoo:
-
I was just wondering the same thing what is PBing?.. pam I like your quote thats funny (this is my band)
-
milehigh when are you going to complete your 3 months?
-
I called Aetna and my case is still under medical review they did receive the paperwork on 7/23/07, I should know somthing by this Friday. I am worried they will say no, this insurance gal says not to worry that she thinks it will be approved.
