    Half Of Me!

As I lost the weight I gave my good friend all my size 16-20's. She wore them for about 3 months then they went in a box cause she gained weight. She is now 3 months post op Gastri sleeve and is totally excited that she had saved that box of clothes. Yesterday I told her "hey I recognize those!" she lol.

    Where Is Everyone From?

You are only 8 hours from me...Lol! I'm north of Sacramento
  8. Omg those bucket lists are fabulous!!! I'm reading them thinking," yup these are all MiLESTONES as the weight came off!" and because of the buckets list we can all relate to, is why the bypass family is compassionate ) One I would add is: to be able to skydive. Which I completed Nov 7, 2008. I didn't have to sign the extra waiver cause the extra weight posed a danger, didn't have to pay the extra weight "hazard fee" and I actually was able to fit in any suit they had to offer.

New Here & 4 Yrs Rny Post Op

Thank you! If I have broccoli, cucumbers, or onions...I bloat so bad. I have to be careful witj pork, my tummy doesnt do too well with it. I became lactose intolerant at 9 months post op. K still have dumping syndrome, I think that's because I work hard to not let myself get used to my demons for too long. I do ok with Vitamins, although I bought Calcium Carbonate bh accident instead of calcium citrate....oh boy I learned really quick what it's like in the world of kidney stones. I didn't make that mistake a second time.

New Here & 4 Yrs Rny Post Op

A 5k is a great start...Trust me! I was challenged to a full marathon as my first, and I usually never back down from a challenge. Hehehe. When you decide to train for a 5k or higher, let me know. I have an avid marathoner buddy that would be more than happy to put something together for you. I love her plans cause they are simple and make sense to me.

New Here & 4 Yrs Rny Post Op

I pretty much felt normal within the first month. But getting into exercise took a little while because I was still getting winded. I give myself a cut off...if I creep to 150, I go back to post op basics. liquids for 3 days and Proteins only for a week. That brings me back to 148. Then regular meals. I won't lie, we are all human and yes I do cheat. I gauge myself sweets intake with bite/snack size snickers. If I can eat 2 snack size snickers with out feeliking icky, I know I need to detox from sweets. I cut all refined sugar for a week and my tolerance goes back down. I have put away ALL regular sized dishes and only bring them out when company is over. Otherwise my kids and I use salad plates as our dinner plates. It works wonders in keeping the portion control monster in line. I forget some days to chew chew chew and trust me my tummy reminds me of it. Hahaha!

    Scale Is Not Moving

Hahaha yeah that scale is something else. Go by your clothing and use the scale as a tool. I'm 4 years post op and was told by a fellow Bypass sister that by 4 months post op I had become a scale wh*@re and needed to only step on it once a week vs miltie times in a day. Lol! So here I am 4 years later and I step on it every Monday.

    Clothes!

I gave mine to a friend who had surgery with me. And she passes it along to another friend. I thought of selling mine but all my new clothes was given to me by friends that were smaller than me all my adult life. I figured I'd pay it forward by doing the same. Also I have a friend that does Swap not Shop clothing exchanges 3 times a year. Those are so much fun! We pay $5 to get thru the door and we bring a bag of clothes or more.
