Yup it's always easy for anyone to make judgment and talk from ignorance when they don't even know the battle n trenches we have endured. -

You Know You Could Die Right?
veronicav75 replied to landensmommy10's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yup even 4 years post op I still hear people talk with their ignorance. Unfortunately you can not change people or their way of thinking. BUT you can change your thinking for yourself. Of surgery is what you want then go for it, I did! I honestly didn't tell anyone in my family other than my parents, brothers and a very select few aunts that I was having RNY. I knew I wanted this for ME and I knew the first few months were gonna be tough and that the negative feedback was something I did NOT NEED. So that's how I kept it away until I was ready to tell my family and friends. Over the the years I learned you can never change ignorance. -

Well you an eat rice but quite honestly start very slowly with it. Me, rice and Pasta don't get along too good. I always have to stop eating after 3 bites cause it's sticks in my pouch like pork does when I can't process it. -

Thank you! Once you get into running its fairly addicting. I'm sure you'll do great once you get cleared to run again. Your body will remember after a week or so n kick right in. -

Here's the workout my trainer had for me. Cardio days is anything other than running/walking. The days it says running...you can walk/run, and of course at your own pace and start with .5 mile and work your way up. -

You can do this! After surgery it'll be easier, you'll feel full so much faster and not sure about everyone else, but for me my hunger alarm literally shut of the first 18months afters surgery.

Congrats! You look absolutely beautiful!

I've been a runner since Aug 2009. I use Nike runner to track my runs but will def check out the app you ladies are talking about. Just remember to go easy and allow your body to adjust. It was the best advice I was given post op. the reason being, for sinking our bodies were used to compensating for the extra weight, it takes a lil while for our bodies to catch up with the weight loss.

2 1/2 Months Post Op And Pregnant
veronicav75 replied to HamDan's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
My friend was pregnant in the first 6 months and did just fine. Just make sure you stay in close touch with your OB and Bariatric Sugeon. And keep up on you supplements/Pre natal vits. She actually had to switch to Liquid form thru the first trimester thanks to morning sickness. -
