LOTS of people have that problem with metformin! It is nice to hear about someone that is having positive bowel issues post op rather than problems all the time.

Or go back to the medicine. You know the chances of complications, the issues associated with anethesia, the post op complications and the risk vs reward of this procedure. I don't know if your like me but if you are, just ask to be informed. know your lab values, ask what your d-dimer is etc. Knowing the medicine can be a blessing in that you really do know if everything is going ok. course the flip side is, if its not, you will know too. Knowing the complications you also know how to prevent most of them right? Walk, Insp. spirometer etc. You know what to do to decrease the chances of complications. I too can appreciate the nerves in relation to the surgery. I will prob be In the same boat, just try to relax. Do something to rise your mind off it and get some sleep

K so questions if any of you have had the surgery or thoughts about post op. ok so I love to cook for people. As odd as this sounds I love having peeps over and watching them crack into a fresh vanilla creme brûlée. I am a little scared that I will lose my passion for cooking. Weird I know but /shrug well anyway.... Ok so next, have you guys told anyone at work? I have not because my boss is very type a personality and if he is against it I would t have got the time off. I mean, I am sure everyone will notice soon, the nurses live hanging out with me, I'm guessing because I help out and try to make their job easier. Ok so I know this is stupid but I enjoy having a beer once in a while and I know that after a whole post op a beer it's the end of the world but har any I you tried it? Ok bowel stuff is mildly concerning because with my job, I cant just go hey don't die yet I gotta poo. So I Guess I will just have to be careful what I eat. Can we take anti diahrea meds post op? Weight lifting is my last question. I am really getting into the weight lifting and can't wait to drop off the weight and see what muscles lie under there! My question for you is, how soon after surgery can we start lifting? Ok done with all my questions now take care guys!

I am 17 days from surgery as I can totally relate! I would say that spending time with your own thoughts would be good too. Your doing this for you and no one else matters!

My psych took 2 flippin months to get report in. After that 5 days for approval

I have bcbs and it was amazing! I must say that my coordinator with my dr was amazing as well. She has been doing this a long time so can tell what insurances and what peeps will get approved quickly. Sounds like your having the same experience. Just stay positive of you get a set back!! Keep enduring and you will come out on the other side! Faith plays a huge roll in mental health and as such we all should recognize that even a belief in no higher being is a faith. Perhaps we can get them to put a room called faith or something
