OHH your post op!!! Feelings of anxiety can also be from dumping. Are you eatting any sugar at all? anxiety is a huge hypoglycemia sign.

i have never experienced the anxiety that far out but the day of definatly. Anxiety can be a real problem though. there are allot of things you can do but i would refer you to my post are you informed. Some great info about surgery day anxiety. Pre-op though this far out i would try some relaxing routines to try to keep the anxiety down. Personally i used to have some anxiety stuff and found a few things worked well for me. 1. Some form of softer music, enya is my fav or jim brickman *piano 2. Get in a spot thats yours, living room couch with a few candles etc. just clear the room of distractions. 3. sit for 20 minutes and try to just let the music fill your head. Let it wash over you like a wave of relaxation, sip on some green tea or another hot (strong smelling) liquid. Take in the smell, or light some candles that have a calming smell. Other than this, just try to be as informed as possible. good luck!

Oy, Another Disappointment
dstollery replied to RoundedRed's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
did you speak to your surgeon about weather this is necessary or just a want. He may not be comfortable doing the surgery without these tests or he may say that its not required. The biggest thing is the prior hx. With a massive MI and death at such a young age i will almost bet he is wondering if there is a genetic defect. This would not be seen on an EKG. The dangers of surgery could go thru the room if you have a defect as surgery can be taxing on the body. =(. I'm really sorry you have another set back. Hang in there and be positive though i know its hard. -
There is some definate merit in drinking more fluids regularly. Start drinking regularly thru the day so that you will be used to drinking fluids all day long. Remember to be drinking your protein shakes. get in that habit right now =)

Welcome to the forum!!! sounds like you have some work =) my mom had GB about 4 years ago and has the same problems. She buys TONS of food and sweets. She grazes which isnt necessarily bad but its what she's eatting that is the problem. I would say if you dont have a therapist now might be a good time. Just have someone to talk to about whats going on on a deeper level. As far as the hair loss, remember Protein deficiency is the number 1 cause and since your not drinking protein or intaking enough then its an issue. there are so many ways out there to get protein. What all have you tried? Have you tried optimum whey protein with skim milk? Most people prefer it ice cold. Also in the nutrition forum they have TONS of ideas for protein intake. The bottom line is you HAVE to have protein. Not getting enough is not an option. there are small ways to get exercise if your that busy while your at work. Try a few of these tricks to stay active and increase your work out without going to the gym. 1. Wear ankle weights (you can get them at any fitness store. Start low on the weight scale, increase for more of a workout. 2. Increase activity while at home caring for the toddlers. Try to just move al the time, you can buy some 8 or 10 lb weights and just work on moving your arms with them while you do house stuff. 3. try just to get a walk around the block before bed or before peeps show up. You will be amazed at how you feel. all of the exercise idea's are a mute point if your not getting in enough protein because you wont build muscle your going to burn it. thats going to be hard on your kidneys. You really need to get enough protein.

Thats a very broad statement.

Your completely in your right to get a second opinion. I had a true false questionnaire that seemed to repeat itself. I appreciate the need for a psych eval, if someone isn ready for this procedure your setting them up for failure. I would get yourself a second opinion and follow the advise. It's not for ever just a work on your mental health and then it's your bodies turn
