Some insurance companies from what I hear will cover reconstructive surgery for the tatas.
-
I haven't been near anything that has been extreme in the spicy catagory...but I have been having medium salsa and peppered pork. I have been fine so far.

I love how incrediably different all the surgeons/nutritionists. I was told to eat 6 times a day. And Protein at every meal.
-
It depends on how much coverage you have. I have the highest covereage (pay the most out of each pay check ) and I had to pay $147 by the day before surgery. I had already paid 77 dollars towards my deductable. They make you pay up front because it is "elective" surgery.

bekki03 replied to HamDan's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Congrats darling! -
On mybariatricpantry.com they have protein bites. The ranch ones were good. The taco ones were weird but addicting.

I would buy it in an instant! I live by myself and when the boyfriend isn't over I have so much food left over from when I cook something.

Before surgery I had a wicked vain spastic moment where I was in the car with my boyfriend and I started crying "Will you still love me when my boobs look like empty sausage casings?" He looked at me and said "I will love you no matter what your body looks like." Best boyfriend ever! even though I think they are looking droopy

The foamies suck! I feel for you. I think you are drinking too fast hon. I am almost 4 weeks out and if I drink too fast I feel like crap.

Insurance Companies... Oh What Fun!
bekki03 replied to L Belle's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It can be SUCH a pain. How is it the insurance companies have the right to do that? I know they are trying to not pay for any unneeded surgery...but your PCP reccommended you for a reason. Good luck hon. Crossing my fingers for you. -
Yeah I haven't really lost any cup size...but they are so depressing looking. they look so sad. But hey, they look fab in the new sexy supportive bras. lol

skinnyrecipes.com. Some look so good! especially the buffalo chicken dip with celery.

I misquoted. Its skinnytaste.com Sorry!

Does anyone know about this kind? Whether it is a good one or not...tasty or not... They have it at Whole Foods and I still need a vanilla flavor. Thanks!

I have a problem getting my vitamins in so I don't log those....but logging the food helps me stay aware of my protein intake. I hate protein shakes now...used to love them. So I try to eat enough protein and stay under 800 calories a day. Worst case scenerio I eat a life choice protein bar (21 grams protein and very low sugar!)so I can hit my 65 grams a day. Good luck hon.

Honestly, it wasn't a bad experience at all for me. The strangest part was having my arms strapped down. I don't remember the countdown. I don't know if they even did one. lol. I was coming to when I was in recovery as they were taking the tube out. Just make sure you walk and get up as soon as you can. It helps move the gas. Good luck love.

Thanks!

Do you think it would be good to start taking the biotin now? I am 3 weeks out...
-
I am 3 weeks post op today. All I do honestly is sit on my butt answering phone calls (I work for US Airways in reservations). I don't know if it is the amping up the workouts or actually being at work but I am exhausted. New shift is 5pm to 1:30 am. Pray for me that I can survive this.

First Day Back At Work...
bekki03 replied to bekki03's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
naw, its been 3 weeks. I have been feeling pretty good. Surgeon wants me exercising everyday (blech!) you will get there hon. -
It has to be said that this whole thread has been incrediably amusing. I never really drank coffee before surgery (didn't have a taste for it) when I was traveling I wanted a hot tea (decaf) with skim and splenda...no dice. They didn't have decaf tea. (Stupid airport) So I tried a decaf coffee and I actually liked it! So weird. I hate my protein shakes now that I used to love, can taste natural sugar in veggies (especially carrots) and now I like coffee. Way to go taste buds. But the passion iced tea sounds fab.
