Bought My Gym Membership Today!
jenneliza replied to Beachbum's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a bit of a problem with the gym babysitting... We can't do evenings. My kids have sports every day except Fridays. Yes even Sundays. I would need to do my workouts at like 6 am and they don't offer babysitting that early around here. So I guess we will just have to stick to walking as long as it is light out in the mornings. Congrats and put that membership to good use! -
That's a great idea! It would be nice to have guaranteed low carb small portioned options. I wonder if restaurants give adults a hard time for ordering children's menu? I would assume most won't let you...

Welcome! This is such a wonderful source of support! And I also have not shared my weight with anyone but the folks here!

Survived family bbq with lots of yummy food and wine. Next year I can sample some! #determined

It sounds good to me. Idk though, I go almost daily. You could definitely be having belly pain if you are constipated. Like Kiwi said, Miralax is a good option. That's what we recommend to our patients. You could be in starvation mode too. It sounds like you are doing everything right. A call or email to your nutritionist might be helpful. I'm sure they hear this alot and know what to do.

Enjoy your vacation!

You look amazing! And your dress is beautiful! Congrats on reaching your goal and the start of your next chapter! Thanks for sharing I was wondering about you.

We spent probably $300-400 monthly eating out and even though I've bought lots of protein powders (still experimenting) there is definitely a savings. Can't wait to start recalculating the household budget!!

I always felt best at a 8-10. Kept my curves and wouldn't want any lower. -

Newbie:) 4 Days Until Surgery!
jenneliza replied to Abuvave's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Welcome! Everyone here is so nice. Feel free to ask anything here. So far the best advice in general would be to get shaker bottles and a protein powder that you like. And if you want, a crystal light or mio flavor too. They will be your best friends! -

There are a few restaurants around here that do skinny wings which basically aren't breaded but baked with sauce. Can't wait to get them! -
Are you drinking all the recommended Water? Have you tried walking? And are you logging on my fitness pal? I ask that bc it measures calories and exercise so you can really see how much you are taking in and burning.

I really don't want to come across mean but just know that after surgery you will have to watch what you eat and restrict portions very carefully. You may still want to eat certain things but can't bc it will make you sick. I actually haven't had solid food since last month bc I'm not allowed. And won't be able to for as out six more weeks. And the things I drink are only Protein drinks and crystal light. And after surgery, walking will be one of the most important things you can do. It will help your pain and prevent blood clots. Going for walks is basically mandatory.

That is awesome! You are doing great!

Agreed. The concern should not be you rate, but that you are uncomfortably feeling this. And your wife's rate is pretty low. Does she take beta blockers? Is her doctor aware of her numbers?

As long as you are not short of breath, having chest pain, weak or dizzy I would say there is no immediate danger. Are you having anything that is a stimulant in your diet or meds? I would call your family doctor. They will likely want you to get an EKG or a halter monitor (like a 24 hour recorded EKG you wear at home). It is definitely something not to ignore but chances are it is nothing to worry about. I wish you well.

I googled puréed foods and found some good ideas. You can also use cream of chicken/mushroom/etc soups for purée liquids. I saw cream of mushroom with scrambled eggs and spinach. Or milk with an omelette. I might even try to purée Chinese food!
-
Good luck. I have a good feeling about this for you!

Basically anything that is low carb enough can be puréed. Just mix it with chicken, beef, or ham broth, milk or tomato sauce.

Yup my nutritionist recommended Wendy's chilli. Also chic fil a makes naked nuggets. You should also be safe getting a grilled chicken breast and eating that plain. Alot of ff place will have a chicken salad sandwich you could have minus bread.
