    Just Want To Feel Better

I went trough the same thing. Although you feel really bad right this is worth it. Call your doctor so they can help you. It was the best thing I did. You will get through this and after the hard time you really enjoy your new body and lifestyle. Hang in there!!!

    Partner Problem

Before my surgery my hubby and I had long talks about this subject. I told him my fears and feelings and we seemed to have worked through things ok. My hubby was always the one when I was doing well on a diet he would bring home the sweets. I felt like he was sabbatoging me every time. Well he did it my third week after surgery. He brought home a chocolate cream pie, saying since it was cream he figured I could eat it and he bought it for me. Well that night we sat down and I said this is exactly what I was talking about before the surgery. After a good long talk he has changed his ways, and learning about this everyday with me.y husband has never had a weight issue and he says he just wants me to be happy and healthy. My advise to everyone is talk to your partner. Even if that does not work at least you tried!
  3. Had one of those days - I saw an old friend today he kept saying over and over how good I looked now. And when I put my soccer uniform on I felt sexy an strong and ready to play in my smaller body. I love the positive days!!!!????
  4. Just want to know if other have had this issue and how do you over come it. I am 4 months post op and find myself always wanting something in my mouth. I am not hungry, but will snack to have the sensation. I have never liked gum, but have found myself buying it just to chew it. I am sure this is something with my brain, but I am frustrated and feel like I am cheating when I finally give in, Any suggestions would be great

    Tummy Bug:(

I realized it is because we are not able to eat or drink much during this bug. I slept so much last week due to no energy. It has been about a week and half since it started and I am finally feeling a little better.

    Tummy Bug:(

I have has it over a week and for most of that I hardly moved out of bed. It is some nasty little bug. Eating protein helps with the energy, but I know it is hard to think of food right now.
  7. I had a real tough time after surgery. I was about 6 weeks post op when things got really bad for me. Eating made me sick every time and the smell of food made me sick to my tummy. After crying in a group post op session and in my surgeons office visit I finally got some relief. Doc worked with me and I took anti nausea meds for 4 weeks before every meal. I regreted my decision to get the surgery everyday for 2.5 months. I am now 4 months post op and feel better everyday. I am able to eat what I want and have learned how to stay in harmony with my pouch. I hated hearing things get better hang in there, but it is true.

    What They Dont Tell You

I Started a new job one week post op. I had some pain, but it was mainly my clothes touching my incisions. I was still getting used to my pouch and hated not being able to eat more. However all of that is the mental aspect of this surgery.

    Fruit

It was about 2.5 months and some fruit still gives me issues
  10. Well my pcp said it was a stomach bug. Gave me some meds and I feel much better. My lack of energy I think was due to the lack of nutrients. However I do think I am gettin another bladder infection. It will be my 5 since my surgery. I see my surgeon tomorrow and it will be my number one question.
  11. I am struggling so much right now. I am at a stall on the scales, but it seems like my clothes are still getting looser. I am waking up with headaches every morning and having a rough time getting rid of them. I had to stay home twice this week as they were migraines. Finally I am soooooo tired. I am close to falling asleep while driving and it is hard to concentrate during work. This week I have thrown up several times and the diahrea is not fun. Just getting over a bladder infection ( my third since the surgery) Answer to most questions Surgery date June 5 2012 Lost 63 Play soccer 3 times a week Water intake about 64 - 80 oz a day Protein intake 50- 60 a day Have stopped multi vitiman because it makes me throw up. The slightest bump and I bruise - worried people are going to start thinking my hubby is beating me. If this was not enough it is the hormonal time of the month ( hystorectomy in 09) I am also starting to eat things that I know I should not See my surgeon on Monday for 4 month post op. Like I said I need ideas and encouragement!

  13. Look into other surgeons - who said you have to stay with this one. I changed because I felt the office was going to take to long. My dr office got me into surgery about a month after my first consult
  14. Or the first time I am able to cross my legs like a lady!! Never knew that was important to me, but I feel sexier when I cross my legs!

    The Easy Way.......

She said it was difficult to get over her addiction to food. She said it was a tool not a cure. She said she was having to retrain her brain not to eat when she had any type of emotions.!dr oz asked her why she decided to do the surgery. Her response was when everything else had failed. I felt like she got the message across that this is not the easy way out.

  19. Have played soccer all my life. I was really excited to play this season due to the weight loss. I was playing last season at my heavist weight of 256, and i seemed faster an more powerul. I saw myself sprinting faster my kicks would be harder and so on after the surgery. However I have noticed that it is the opposite. I am currently playing on three teams and each week I feel like my kicks and speed has declined. This evening at half time my husband even made a comment that my kicks seemed off. I know I am losing muscle as well as fat ad weights are the answer there, but just want to know is all this normal. My question is have other athletes experienced this ( the decline in your ability of your sport)? If you have what did you do to get back to your old self. I know I do not get in enough protein, and since I am playing three times a week I do not hit the gym like I was in the beginning of this journey. I am 4 months post op, and down about 66 pounds.

    The Easy Way.......

I figure people say this because they are jealous of the commitment we have to a healthy life style. It is in no way easy to stand up and say I am tired of getting the same results over and over and going no where. When people ask me about rny and about the pain associated with it I am always honest. I tell them the pain of surgery was nothing to the mental toughness I have had to have. Your mind plays so many tricks on you during this journey, and I still find myself battling about what I am eating and doing. Just keep your eyes on the prize and stay true to yourself!!
